What if Cus had lived and trained Tua in the 90s-early 2000s? Would the peek-a-boo style be a good fit for the short, hard-hitting Tua?

I don't think Tua had the athleticsm for that kind of explosive style. He was good at bobbing and weaving and had great stamina while doing so early in his career. But the peek a boo doesn't seem to fit him, I think he would also get very injury prone moving that massive blocky body side to side in that manner round after round.Greb5000 likes this.

There is only an accusation by Patterson and he even said Gus never acted on it. Tyson is pure speculation becuse the guy has a lisp. Which is just plain ******.
I don't think much of Gus, believe he is overrated as a trainer, but he is much maligned all because of one vague accusation. Not fair to the man.mrbig1 likes this.

And besides Patterson and Tyson, Cus didn't train anyone worth a **** except for MAYBE Jose Torres. There's a reason Cus didn't train another world champion for almost 30 years after Patterson, and it's not just because he stood up to the IBC.
