Dude, everybody disagrees with me on this; which makes me want to watch it again to see what I didn't get the first time. When I saw it, right after it came out of video, my roomate brought it home. We'd heard the reviews and were both curious. It was a slow night, so instead of going out we decided to watch this movie that the critics loved.
I swear, outside of the woodchipper scene, that was the biggest waste of celluloid ever made....and the best cure for insomnia I've ever seen. Halfway through we were like, "well, we've watched this much of it..."
I still my watch it again; but if I still hate it I'm goint to send hate mail to everyone who called me a dumbass.
Brazil
Twelve Monkeys
Seventh Seal (Sweedish)
The Seven Samuri...I think that's the title
Minority Report
AI
Planet of the Apes (the original, not that Mark Wahlberg piece of crap)
Omega Man
One Million Years to Earth
Solaris
Malcolm X
Do The Right Thing
Ghosts of Mississippi Brahm Stoker's Dracula (too bad Keanu Reeves was in it...nothing against him; he just wasn't right for the part)
more to come.
Ive NEVER heard ANYONE say they like that film.
I loved it.
Eventhough some of the acting is baaaaad.
But wen i went through a bit of a gothic, black candle period, i watched that film many times.
I just liked how it shows Dracula to be a sad lonley ****ed up dude! "I laaav u too maaach to condemn u". Love that line.

I was in a bit of a "dark" mode when I first saw it. The woman I was with at the time and I fit right into that whole "mystical thing" ranging from vampire to wizards to the occult and such...which probaby got me into that movie. But, I'd always had a thing for that "area of thought" and that was the best portrayl of Dracula I'd ever seen...no offense to Bela Lugosi.
Favorite line: "Do not put your faith in such trinkits of deceit."
I thought "Interview with a Vampire" was outstanding; but didn't care of "Queen of the Damned"...thought that one was so cheesey you could make a nacho dip out of it. Blade was good II and III....ehhhh. Underworld was alright. Wes Craven's Vampire killers was good from what I remember. Christopher Lee made a great Dracula in those old Hammer films; but I ramble.
there have been very few good Vampire movies.
My personal favorite is 1979's "Dracula" with Frank Langella as the count.
I also enjoyed Nosfuratu w/ Klaus Kinski
The others mentioned above were **** in my opibion..no offense intended.
