yep i though vol. 2 was better too

and pulp fiction will surely go down as his greatest work

but reservoir dogs i sconsidered a classic too ( and rightly so)
and i would'nt be surprised if he makes another movie which gets
as much critical acclaim and becomes an instant classic

Nope, it's not even close. Check out these films and then get back to me.

                Mighty Aphrodite
                Bullets over Broadway
                Husbands and Wives
                Crimes and Misdemeanors
                Hannah and Her Sisters
                Broadway Danny Rose
                Zelig
                Manhattan
                Annie Hall
                Sleeper

And this is just a sampling. The man is quite simply a movie making genius.

everything is dumbed down these days everyone wants a quick fix
movies included just look at the top 10 movies in the cinema right now
There are great movies released each year, but they are usually buried by the hype of the'big' releases. The so called blockbusters.

But there usully a handful of good films every year, some are european, or asian. (Korean cinema is incredible...Olboy, and A Tale of Two Sisters are 2 of my favs). Also Ichi the Killer is disturbing but a great film.

Asian cinema is definatly the future.

Wat makes me sick is how hollywood at the moment has taken the easiest, most insulting way to make money out of us, by doing remake after remake.
Anyone seen the new Superman film yet?
