      Australian rules football players are by far the best overall athletes in any team sport.
      The problem is furn is that nearly no one here besides aussies know what you are talking about.

      AFL midfielders are probably one of the most elite team sport athletes in the world.

        That speaks nothing about athleticism.....

          Besides wide receivers I dont think that there is many other elite athletic sportsman in the NFL.

          It is more stop and start then rugby league which is saying something.

          Btw there is only one team in rugby league too, no such thing as the defense and offense team lolz.

            There's one thing I'd like to watch -- for the fun of it...

            NFL "all stars" team vs All Blacks... One game according to the "American football" rules and a rematch according to "Rugby football" rules...

              Put them on the same steroid cycle and they probably would.

                I think straight ballers and shot callers are more athletic

                  DB's and running backs would easily qualify. The rest would be harder to argue for, but anybody who has played knows every position requires a ton of athleticism . Except the kickers lol. Sure, there are fat lineman. But said fat lineman's task is to stop a yoked up black dude from killing his qb. That requires a huge amount of athleticism.

                  That actually doesn't say anything, but okay...

                  That argument is just a matter of perspective and could be argued both ways. We see a higher level of game, both athletically and mentally, because of that. Guys are way fresher, and can give all there attention to studying their one positions responsibility's.

                  Basically, the scenarioscenario ultimately goes like this;

                  -Soccer brahs don't understand the game of football, and thus can't get into it
                  -Ameribruhs understand the game of soccer, but just think its gay.

                  And to conclude/win this argument that football is better than soccer, evidence;

                    Seriously you need to watch some more full contact sports in the world besides NFL.

                    rugby league is a very stop and start game by my standards..... but NFL makes it look like a marathon.

                    Please watch a game of australian football league, on average a player will run 12km per game, tackle, think tactics in offense and defense etc.

                    Soccer players may not have the strength of NFL players but on average have more cardio and endurance.

                    Many americans need to get their heads out of their asses and stop thinking that the NFL is the best at everything when the rest of the 7 billion people in the world think other wise.

                    Generally when nearly everyone else disagrees with you it means that you are wrong.
