If I'm Canelo I don't step on the scales on purpose. Keep the other guys guessing about how heavy you might come in...We've seen other guys not get weighed and no one adds 25 pounds lol. Even Chavez Jr didn't hit 180 (Or was he? I might have his numbers confused) from what I recall..or Pavlik. Stop, guys. :/
I'm not saying I believe Khan. I'm just curious as to why didn't weigh in. I'm not buying that it was strategic plan.

My theory: Canelo weighed more than he usually does on fight night, and because he and his team made a big deal about "I'm not a middleweight", he didn't want people to know he was 175.

Canelo is no different from a lotta other fighters that melt down, then rehydrate before the fight. And its not always been successful for fighters doing so. Amir Khan dropping himself has probably been a victim of going down too far in weight early in his career and it costing him. He was KO'd at 135 and 140. And since leaving 140, he hasn't really had chin problems. Miguel Cotto comes to mind. He was chinny at 140. But once he moved up to more natural weights, his chin held up better. Neither guy will ever be cobsidered iron chinned. But I think its safe to say both were affected by dropping too low in weight. I say all that to say just because a guy melts down doesn't guarantee success.

His problem is he jumps in to get his shots off and is there to be hit if timed properly. I don't see him beating any top tier fighter...

I saw that Baldomir fight and clearly remember him being bigger than Canelo lol. People are mad that a 19-20 year old was doing well? Who hates on a kid? The only matchups that were ever "bad" were Hatton and Josesito but Josesito was not supposed to be in there. Cotto was the MW champ but it suits people better to call him a 54 guy despite him having fought at higher weights than canelo (..the reaching is that hard). Mosley and Floyd had already success at 54 and he fought floyd at 52. Lara is ok for GGG but hes 54 for Canelo (ok?) and also somehow still considered the best at 54 bu guys here before their fight. Trout is big and was considered the best at 54.. Gomez was a guy being sacrificed to a young guy. Cintron is a 54 pounder. Angulo is huge and people said he'd never fight him. Kirkland also huge was supposed to be this animal who'd also slaughter Canelo (yeah...people actually believed that..look up youtube comments or old comments from here).

How many people were outraged at crawford weighing over 150 for Gamboa? Donaire outsizing significantly anyone he fought for most of his career. Ward getting Golovkin to move up 8 pounds (the same amount Amir moved up)? Pac bringing Cotto down despite obviously being pretty much the same size? Ward bringing Dawson down the full 8 pounds? Nicholas Walters missing weight? Floyd fighting Guerrero.. GGG with Rosado..GGG with frickin Ishida...And it goes on and on. No one is defending Canelo but take a look at the reaching. You have guys in their 30s doing things guys in their early 20s tend to do as they are being brought up as prospects/contenders. Who was Floyd fighting 19 years ago? Most of them over matched opponents. Stop acting like new boxing fans..like you've never seen a younger fighter be huge..people forget the weights guys like Oscar used to fight at and enjoyed huge size advantages..Pac was huge, etc.

Don't get your panties up in a bunch cuz some weird ginger mexican kid is doing what he's supposed to be doing. Put it into context, follow the sport, watch the actual fights...you'll be happier than you will be hating on a dude younger than most of us.

A 25 year old crushed some veterans on his way up and guys who people thought were better than they were? Sounds like the whole history of boxing.
I see that facts bother, because not one time im my post did I "hate" on Canelo. I pointed out his history and why his current situation should not be surprising. Lol at Baldomir, too old fat and lazy to even attempt to make welterweight, everyone knows Baldomir was a welterweight. And Cotto never actually weighed in at 155 lbs. He weighed in at 153 for all three fights at Middleweight.

Ryan Rhodes didn't "move back to 160" after Canelo, he finished his career at 154. And actually he was at 160 a very long time ago, about 5 years before that but he was too small so he went to 154 and campaigned there for the rest of his career.

The other bolded, what size and weight advantage? Size and weight advantage are the same thing.

Trout was 1lb heavier than Canelo, Angulo 2lbs lighter.
Lol. Your response says more about you then the one erroneous mistake I made. Of the whole post you comment on a fighter who was a non-threat to Canelo and tried to present him as one.

Then you site Angulo like he was a threat and Canelo fought Lara at 155 lbs. Reading is fundamental, like you know, when I wrote "MOST" of Canelo's fights occur with a weight and size advantage. Oh yeah and the fact that you don't know the difference between weight and size makes me wonder why did I even respond. Size is hight, length and how wide a boxers body may be, while weight is how many pounds a boxer is, the heavier boxer doesn't always have a size advantage.

Cotto was 155 against Sergio actually.

Baldomir was pretty big at Welterweight and was probably comfortable at 154.... He has weighed in as high as 168

Guys like Lara, Angulo, Trout and Kirkland were not at size disadvantages against Canelo, no one ever said they were too small when the fights happened. Angulo is at 160 now.

Khan was hopelessly outsized and outgunned but let's not skew facts to suit the narrative that Canelo is weight bullying all his opponents.

So, even of they talked about Canelo being around 180 pounds on Max Kellerman's Face Off and many many other interviews were they kept saying he was going to be 180 lbs, although Canelo has never weight more than 170 at any other fightin his life... But I know Khan was the only person on the planet who didn't believe he was going to get brutally Ko'd, but now he says he was surprised by Canelo's size? He's not only delusional but apparently he's an idiot too..

Why are you making things up

Your mistake is that you are overly criticizing Canelo. And you overly criticizing him leaves looking like a blind hater, talking about he fought Lara a career 154 pounder, at a whopping 155 pounds. Omfg he brought him up 1lb, good lord, what an abuser Canelo is picking on all of these little guys like Angulo and Trout who the same size as him on fight night.

You would think that the fight is over and Khan got KTFO and it would had ended all the nonsense from Khan and all these wacky threads.

Now they will force a Garcia fight so we shall continue hearing more Khan's nonsense
