We'll see Povetkin vs Wach next month, a much better fighter than Duhaupas power wise but similar in size and durability. If he stops Wach he definitely stops Wilder in my view. I give Wilder a 20% chance vs Povetkin, being kind here.

I will say this though, i believe Povetkin is being a bit overrated due to hate for Wilder. I have a feeling Wilder is gonna beat him and i can almost predict the gameplan he'll use. As flawed as Wilder is, hes supremely athletic and a bit awkward bcuz of his length. Hes not a pushover. At the same time hes here bcuz of his weak opposition, his path to the title was the weakest have even seen. I mean we have contenders who have faced and beat better fighters than Wilder has.

If you want to get to Wilder you have to get inside on him, where hes lacking and you take the leverage away from his shots and target the body. Im seeing Povetkin as a 50-50 fight due to Wilders flaws and Povs strengths, the biggest factor being Wilders length.

Champions are there a for a reason....they don't take the say way outonce you become champion you don't pick 2 journeyman to safe guard your title.....you put up or shut up.....it's not an internment or college fund..when you become champion u don't ride the coat tails and pick one bum after another...there's an obligation to the history of the title and you fight the best...it seems to me...he's had 2 easy journeyman fights now....so now it's time to face a real heavyweight......I'm not talking silly points on boxing scene....I'm talking real money.....put your money where your mouth is and see who knows about.....I'll take Anthony Joshua for a thousand dollar bet with your great heavyweight hope....Western Union can work...come on big mouth back up your confidence in your fighter

If he he was so terrible why did he nearly knock Vitali's head off? He is the only man to legitimately stun him in the pros as far as I know. Sanders was old an inactive but talented too.

I am not a Sasha fan but the man has fought seven Ring top ten fighters in his career and he has lost to one of them. He also fought a Ring top ten fighter in I believe his 14h fight. Povetkin could have also been fighting Wilder next but what happened there?

As far as Sanders is concerned I would like to know what source you have that had him ranked at 334 when they fought in 2003? But that really doesn't matter. Because Wlad could have lost five times by then and Wilder still would not have the skills that Wlad had then or now. Simply put Wilder is a immensely flawed fighter and the fact that you are in denial about it doesn't change that.

Don't know how many times I have to say Wilder is a work in progress. I'm not in denial about anything; I'm just not writing him off like everyone else. I like to actually see how things play out instead of jumping to conclusions.

I don't hate wilder at all....he is exciting but he is being protected...it's 2 defences he has had now against very low quality rated heavyweights....u have this fixation with corrode sanders and klitchko .....that fight was over in 2 rounds and it was shock treatment for klitscko......wilder was getting out jabbed and walked down from a slow plodder who is ranked 34 in the world.....what does tha tell you about his skill level....I told you put your money where your mouth and let's have a bet who wins if wilder fights povetkin or Joshua ....I am only easing up on you because you have a paragraph about Ray Leonard at the bottom of your page...and he's my idol....but back to wilder sorry to burst your bubble but he wont last long as champion

I bring up Sanders because Sanders was a nobody that was not supposed to win. You make excuses for why he won, but then **** on Wilder for taking some shots, but winning every round and finishing a guy who's never been stopped. Klitschko was still developing the same way Wilder is still developing.

I'm tired of talking about this. I'm gonna just let the future play out and see what Wilder is made of. Believe what you like.

He is a HW champion of the world, and he refuses to fight anyone in the top 10. THAT is my problem with him...

You on it. He had a good win to grab a belt. Why is he now fighting C-level contenders? That kind of matchmaking isn't going to prepare him for the elite caliber fighters like Wlad. Actually, this fight was nothing more than a PBC infomercial.

I am not writing Wilder off. I just don't believe that he is a very good fighter and never have. And since you keep going on and on about Wlad and Sanders I will ask you again what source do you have that had Sanders ranked at 334 in the world when Wlad fought him? Or are you just making 5hit up?

As for Wlad fighting Sanders in his 6th defense. First off the WBO belt was a very marginal belt at the time and secondly Wlad had already fought and beat at least four Ring top ten fighters before he lost to Sanders. That is exactly three more than Wilder has fought to date. And according to Wilder he has the most meaningful belt and he is the heavyweight champion of the world.
