Well it is a never ending battle, because GBP is still way ahead in the all time ledger of star *******.

Good thing for fighters though to have that kind of competition for their services makes both side step up their game or get left behind.

Only shows Floyd is naturally bigger than Pac. And can be added to his number of road blocks.

      1.Drug testing
      2. 40 mill
      3. Lets fight @ 154 punk!
      etc etc..

All t takes is common sense.. Cotto is cashing-out. He is a beaten down old horse.

Wish Cotto can pull it off but highly unlikely..
yet mayweather is OLDER and has had more fights...its not like Cotto has been beaten a bunch of times in a row he is not washed up he is not beaten down...people lose sometimes they have bad nights..even lose while someone fights there BEST fights...it happens...2 losses dont equal bein old and washed up...

Interesting fight, but I'm Boycotting all Mayweather and Pacquiao fights until they meet each other.

just finished work and read this BS.

              why not canelo?

i know he wanted pac but bob arum clearly done everything in his power to not let it happen .

Im not saying cotto isnt world class but do we really wanna see floyd fight someone manny beat up?

              anyone think this is good?
Its a good fight, but the Mayweather-Pac fight is way overdue already. It is losing relevance and appeal with every passing month. Should it ever happen its going to be when both guys are way past their prime(as both are pretty much already), and that is something that both sides should be ashamed and embarrased about. Totally unneccesary and unless some miracle happens and they end up fighting on May the fifth, then it will be about as relevant as Leonard v Duran 3.

Ain't that the truth? He is a lot older as well.. So do the math and make sense of it.
He responded to each beating with a succession of wins, your point?

I certainly wasn't discrediting Pac's choice of Miguel. Perhaps the demand of a CW, but that was the extent of it. Are we NEVER to expect a fighter to ever lose? It just doesn't make sense.

Why should Canelo or JCC ever step up and take a meaningful fight if then their entire future would be irrelevant.

Who was Pac supposed to fight at that point anyways that is better than Cotto? Shane Mosley? The same Mosley that lost to Cotto, three years prior? IF he had fought Mosley, people would have said that he ducked Cotto. And around and around we go with the same BS.

And alot older is subjective as well. Cotto is 31, Floyd is 35.

Floyd could have easily said come down to 147, but he's electing to fight him at a weight that'll ensure that he A). gets credit and B). actually allows Miguel a fighting chance. I respect that.

There's NO way you can make such a stmt in all seriousness. Manny fought de la hoya, hatton, & mosely ALL after mayweather (They have common opponents..So what..Its gonna happen when they're both campaigning in the same wgt class). As far as whether floyd ko's cotto won't taint his victory in any way unless you're willing to say that pac's slim victories against marquez frail in comparison to floyd's who pitched a straight shut out against jmm...It is what it is.
I think the issue with the "leftovers" statement is that it is Floyd's line.
