In other latest news, Manny is a more accurate all-around puncher than Floyd because jabs doesn't count.

Plea: Can we STOP with this 'leftover' nonsense
Seriously, you lames just discredit the sport you love when you speak of 'leftovers' and all that nonsense. It devalues the entire idea of 'triangle theories' and also the idea of fighters fighting the fights that are required and encourages fighters not to seek out the biggest options available.
Everyone wants Floyd to fight Pacquaio. But Pacquaio is Erik Morales and some other two bums leftovers, therefore Floyd should fight Morales. Its just a ****** rationale and line of thinking.
Floyd should fight Martinez. But Martinez is Margarito's leftover and drew with Cintron, therefore Floyd should fight Margarito (he should have years ago, but irrelevant). Its a ****** argument.
So Miguel lost to Pacquaio and Margarito, it is no indication of either A). how well Miguel will perform against Floyd and B). no indication of how Mayweather will beat Miguel or if he will anyways.
Is this the same Miguel that Mayweather should have fought in 2007/2008? No, but neither is Mayweather the same. How Pacquaio and Margarito defeated Cotto the first time is not how Mayweather will beat him, because Mayweather does not fight in this manner. The former two fight in a swarming, nonstop manner. Mayweather fights in a precision based methodology, that slows down the pace, which Cotto loves. Whether Cotto would have beat Pacquaio and Margarito the first time is irrelevant to the outcome of May 5ths fight. The use of 'leftover' just ensures that no fighter will ever be given credit for any win. Its asinine, juvenile and overall, pretty ****ing ******.
People say that boxing is a dying sport, we should look no further to the "fans" that "support" it as a crucial part of that. If this is a "tl:dr" type of posting, well **** you, you probably aren't a fan anyways. If Mayweather beats Cotto, moving up. I give him ultimate credit.

Ain't that the truth? He is a lot older as well.. So do the math and make sense of it.

Cotto-Mayweather similar opponents
Just thought If not already, open this subject for some debate. No haters needed from either side. We have tons on them already from both sides. Both fighters have 4 similar opponents and fought them nearly around the same time or close to it. I know many of you are like me and believe styles make fights and not similar opponents but just threw this out there to start somewhat of a decent thread and not another Cotto, Mayweather, Pacquiao hate thread.
Cotto
V. Sosa - TKO 4th 2004 (140)
D.Corley - TKO 5th 2005 (140)
Z. Judah - TKO 11th 2007 (147)
S. Mosley - UD 2007 (147)
Mayweather
V. Sosa - UD 2003 (135)
D.Corley - UD 2004 (140)
Z. Judah - UD 2006 (147)
S. Mosley - UD 2010 (147)

this fight is a nightmare for bob arum and top rank.. lol
cotto is coming off a big win over margarito, meanwhile bradley is coming off a horrible fight with some 40-year-old pothead... nobody even knows who bradley is ( sorry to the 5 fans he has on here, but its the truth)
on top of that cotto declined the fight with pacquiao so he woulnt get weight drained again, just adds more to the "catchweight king" title....
arum must be pissed right now lol..... and i like it!!!

AFter the JMM fight very few gave manny any chance.
Floyd punches harder than ya'll want to admit..
Shane walked clean thru Cotto's punches....but he couldn't walk thru Floyd's..
Cotto was running from Shane....Floyd had Shane backing up...
