As far as critics you will always have them regardless.... Not everybody is going to like you no matter what you do....
I still hear Benitez fans say if it wasn't for the headbutt Ray would have lost.... Or they stopped the Leonard-Hearns I fight too soon.... Critics are always going to be there it's a fact of life....

One I am talking about 1 specific fight, and I like Sugar Ray Leonard so all this is meaningless.
He should have rematched Hagler, he could have ended the debate but he didn't so it is all up to interpretation, if you can't accept this that is on you not me.

It isn't even that big a deal to me, but I know if something went down like that today people would be having a meltdown if dude walked away from a rematch from a win that disputed even as a close fight.
Either guy could have won close fight, I would have just liked there to be real finality rather than the endless debate but it is what it is and it is still a fun fight to talk about because there is a lot to debate.

with srl-benitez, i thought benitez would be srl's first loss...i saw benitez taking it to srl hard, and srl intentionally butted, to slow benitez down...srl admitted in his book that benitez was his toughest fight, which would lend credence to anyone who felt, srl looked to slow benitez down in that fight...which i thought was a great fight...

As for Benetiz I thought it was a great fight also.... Why do you think the butt was intentional???Last edited by MJ223; 03-15-2012, 06:53 PM.

Fair enough afterwards but, I'm not sure Hagler really wanted it to be honest. Maybe for a year but, stopped pursuing quickly.Last edited by Barn; 03-15-2012, 06:55 PM.
