i remember the context well.... he was asked what was most important to him in the rematch.... everyone expecting him to say revenge, redemption or justice

    instead he said "my health"

I actually understand what he's sayin and cant hate on him for it.... but this a game full of warriors.... guys who would want to kill someone who put something in their gloves.... Cotto doesnt have the heart of his counterparts... even if he does have the skills

you look at guys like Meldrick Taylor or even JMM.... these men have NO quit in them

Cotto is not cut from the same cloth... so a scary staredown really dont mean shhh

I'm interested in how Cotto will react to Mayweathers trash talk, he's usually pretty docile leading up to the fight.

Don't want to look into this much, but did anyone catch when they shook hands after the staredown. Mayweather planted his left over both of theirs. I remember him pulling a similar move in the Mosley vs Mayweather face off right at the end. Could be a way of showing them whose boss in both situations.

I shuttered the moment I heard this fight was made. Miguel Cotto is shot and anyone who believes that there is anything left in that tank, you're fooling yourself. Think back to the last rounds of his second fight with Margarito and you can see he survived getting out of that fight by the very skin of his teeth.

Had Margacheato been given the opportunity to continue Miguel would have succumb to the pressure without question. Now, they are placing a fighter whose confidence has been systematically ****d from him by the hands of Pacquiao and Margarito into the ring with the best fighter of this generation. The annihilation that Floyd Mayweather will inflict upon Miguel Cotto will be Mayweather-Gatti-esque in comparison. Floyd's speed will pick the Puerto Rican apart piece by piece.

Miguel Cotto does not have the boxing ability to trade with Floyd Mayweather. Floyd will have nailed him ten times before Miguel gets one shot on Mayweather! To even believe that Cotto has a moticum of a chance in this fight is complete insanity. This will be the ass-whoopin of Cotto's career.

In case you forgot Cotto-Margarito II was a 9 rounds to 0 complete shutout.

So as far as you saying he "survived getting out of that fight by the very skin of his teeth" has no merit whatsoever.

I don't think Floyd looks overweight at all. If you've seen his recent pictures at the Miami Heat game, you'll notice that he's probably weighing 155-158 pounds.
