i know more about Manny's career than 95% of the Pac fans that post on this site. Pac blew up after beating ODLH and Hatton.

you do realize that manny tried to make weight after failing it the 1st time right?

did floyd try to make weight after failing?

manny also was penalized by having to use heavier gloves.

        floyd just cut check.

not only did he not try to make weight after failing , i doubt he even tried to make weight beforehand.

btw pacquiao was a 112 fighter fighting a fellow 112 fighter , floyd was 147 fighter fighting a catchweight fight with a 135 fighter.
This is exactly how Floyd manipulated the contract last minute cheating JMM in a classic manner.

he got stripped of his belt at the scales.

even if he beat singsurat , he wouldn't have kept the belt.

Any unbiased boxing fan could see that Marquez clearly won the fight.

If you don't believe me then look on youtube, There is a video of boxingscene's own Fillipino sports analyst Ronnie Nathanielz saying that he believes Marquez won the fight but the judges gave it to Pacquiao because he is more marketable.
I must say, Pac looked slow in that second fight against Marquez. Was it Marquez countering him that neutralized his speed or was it just Manny being unable to fully controlled the pace and style of the fight? Nonetheless, he won it.

I believe Floyd would have put on the same clinic with JMM as he did making weight or not; which is why I am disappointed that he gave his enemies more ammunition against him. His performance was stellar, but it would have had more merit if he had kept to the spirit of the contract. Oh, make no mistake about it, he honored the contract, but he also exploited it.

This is also how I feel about Pac's catchweight fight against Cotto.

Because floyd fans keep bringing up floyd's victory against marquez as proof that floyd is greater than pac?

From what I remember, Manny came in overweight at the scales, then tried to lose the excess pounds and tried again after a few hours but still failed. Thus, he was stripped of his title prior to the fight and made to wear heavier gloves. You are also correct that he lost the fight because he was weight-drained.

Blew up physically or popularity-wise? Either way, you're wrong.
