Being a favorite and being competitive aren't that much different. You're just justifying lambs to the slaughter with that argument. Put Margarito in; he'll absorb lots of punishment before losing!

I agree with you that Mosley would be his toughest test. But look no further than this thread for people clambering to see other fights because they think their fighter deserves it or will beat Floyd.

They're all fine opponents, but none of them will beat Floyd. Because of that, there will always be complaints. If he hadn't fought Marquez and had chosen to fight one of the other names I mentioned then you could add Marquez to the list of people that people are complaining about Floyd not fighting.

How do you know this? Say, as long as you're predicting the future, how about you PM me the winning lottery numbers too?

It makes me chuckle. You know the reason you only listed 2 things? Because those are the only 2 that have ever happened. Floyd's glove touched the canvas against Judah (OMG NOOOOOOOO, ZAB WOULD'VE WON!) and he was rocked by 1 punch against Corley.

You don't think Floyd would win? That's all I'm getting at. Is there a chance he could lose? Sure; there's always a chance. He would be the favorite against all of them; which is why there's always excuses for his opponent. When you're at the top of the mountain looking down at lesser opponents; they all look worse than you because they are. It's a lot easier climbing the mountain looking good then beating people when you're at the top.

Just ask any long time reigning division champ after he's cleared it out and is sitting around fighting mandatories.

I don't understand why people want to give him the top spot after beating Marquez in that fight. It was obvious he had trouble with the weight.

I know for a fact that Pacman and Freddie are scared to fight him now. They will never admit it, but Floyd will embarrass pacman the same way he just did against JMM. I am definitely going to put my points on it, and I will head to vegas to put my money up. I just hope everyone still believes that Pacman is better at that point in time so that I can make the most out of my money with the odds.

If anyone here really, honestly, and truthfully believes that Pacman can beat Floyd after that performance, then your boxing credit is no longer valid to me, and like Roger would say...."YOU DON'T KNOW **** ABOUT BOXIN'"
Your avatar says a lot about what you think of Floyd. Now, answer this: wasn't that Floyd's best boxing performance this decade? Wasn't Floyd at his best when he was fighting at junior lightweight? If you answer in the affirmative to both of these questions, you are just confirming the obvious: Floyd boxed a masterpiece because he was fighting a guy who had no speed, no power, no movement and was incapable of hurting him. When was the last time you saw Floyd standing flatfooted in front of an opponent? Surely, he didn't do that against de la Hoya or Zab Judah or even Baldomir! Now Baldomir is even slower than Marquez at 147 but Floyd never stayed in the same place with him because Baldomir is capable of knocking Floyd out. It's easy for him to look good because Marquez cannot hurt him and he has a 5" reach advantage. You nuthuggers sure are blind. If you think he would fight the same way he fought Marquez if he fought Mosley, Cotto or Pacquiao then your worse than an idiot.

                  What...are...you...talking...about?

No, I think there is a great chance of Floyd losing to at least one of those fighters. But you know what? I'm not handing him any victory OR any losses. I just want him to prove it. Yes I know he was great at 130 and 135 but I want to see him prove it at welter AGAINST welters or get the **** out of dodge.

Why fight Manny if everyone says that he can beat him easily? Lets just see Floyd take on Mosley so everyone can be happy! If he wins, he is as grreat as he says he is..If he looses, then all his nuthuggers will be quiet in the corner crying for him.

He won't answer directly. He'll just label you a "hater", because in his mind that will simply end the debate. No one questions Mayweather's prodigious talent, he is by far the most talented boxer alive however; we question his fighting heart. That isn't hating, we acknowledge his vast talents, what we disagree with is unwillingness to fight within his own division.
