You cry and point out he was overweight for the fight; and that means it was somehow impossible for him to lose weight. I point out that he has fought people divisions larger than him and all of the WW's people would have him fight are also larger... but it doesn't matter because hatred doesn't follow logic.

Conclusion: Floyd is still great and you're still a hater. I'd say taking to sarcasm after being proven wrong and not debating is a good sign that you should probably pick an argument with somebody else.
So Floyd could easily make 135, but chose to pay 600 grand rather than make 144, even when he had a couple more months to make weight after the fight was postponed? Makes perfect sense.

I believe Floyd to be a great fighter, he just hasn't proven it for quite some time.

There isn't a chance in hell Floyd could cut enough weight to be championship caliber at 140, and if he tried to fight at 135 he would be nothing but bones and have nothing. He is way to grown into being a welterweight to go down one or two divisions, you're just setting up excuses for the chance he fights either Cotto or Mosley and loses. You can say "he's not really a welterweight" after spending so much time saying he is the best welterweight.

Once again; how the **** do you people confuse could not and did not? Seriously, this is actually frustrating. I'm not trying to sound like your English teachers in High School who probably hated you all too; but this **** matters. There is a big difference between the two.

Ahahahahaha. Is that a joke. He can't make 140? Yeah; Floyd is just one gigantic wall of a man. Now way he could ever cut those few pounds to drop down and realistically compete at 140. Do I think 135 would be a stretch? Sure; he'd lose a decent chunk of muscle mass and he hasn't fought there in some time coupled with retirement it would do more harm than good. But given his body size/shape it's not implausible.

I'm no English major but then again, you don't seem too bright yourself. This is what you said:

Easily cut weight and go down a division or maybe even two, right? Going down 2lbs is obviously infinitely harder.

In my opinion from the facts that have been presented and time line of the events I think Floyd chose not to cut the weight. He could have dropped the remaining 2 pounds needed for the stipulated weight. He didn't want to cut the additional pounds as he felt it would be detrimental to his abilities in the ring at this point so he renegotiated the contract knowing there was a good chance he'd come in a pound or two over weight.

I think it was somewhat of a ***** move and he should have manned up and hit the steam room but he chose the easier, albeit more expensive, path.

Example: I do not have to go eat right now. I could go eat though, it is approaching lunch time and I'm hungry. I'll go eat.
Quite expansive literary skills, by the way the correct description would have been "parsing language". Let us get to the gist of your nut-hugging argument, in essence you're saying that a welterweight and professed best fighter in the world chose not to come in on the stipulated weight, against a lightweight moving up two divisions to face him? Hmmm seems pretty telling and contradicts all of your prior arguments to the contrary.

About as many pairs as you have of Green K. Which is zero. Honestly, answer me this how did you go about getting so many people to give you red k within 177 Posts? That is truly amazing.

I love how everybody jumps to the "nut-hugging" argument. I hate Floyd. I think he's a douchebag who care too much about his undefeated record. Couple that with his attitude and ability at wasting millions of dollars and I dislike him as a person. However, I admire his abilities in the ring and acknowledge his greatness.

There is nothing contradictory in my argument. I'm not sure if you're confusing me with other people or if you honestly haven't read what I've typed out in this thread.
