J.D Jackson should be SLAPPED as well as the author of this ridiculous notion! Jackson is trying to drum up interest for his fighter Campbell to get a crack at MP. I could see if MP avoided a black fighter on his way up but he didn't.

arum planned the pac-diaz fight at 135 for diaz's belt since before pac fought marquez.
that's why david diaz was on the undercard.

Black fighter's are commonly thought of as slick, fast boxers.
Freddie Roach has gone on record saying that Pacquiao does not match-up well against slick, counter-punchers.
Manny shines when matched against a stationary target.
I don't know if Pac Man has purposely ducked Black boxers, but I do know that his team isn't too eager to put him against a quick, defensive opponent ie. the stereotype of an African American fighter.

African Americans used to dominate the sport until it truly became a global sport. Saying they are still the best in the world is delusional. Just check the current Ring top 10 pound for pound rankings and you'll see only 2 African Americans, just like there are 2 Filipinos and 3 Mexicans. There are currently no African Americans in The Ring's division champions.
Guzman doesn't deserve a shot with Pacquiao considering his unprofessional attitude of absconding a fight in the last minute because he can't make weight. Pacquiao could have fought Campbell or Juan Diaz after the David Diaz fight had De La Hoya not picked him for his next fight. Obviously, the Oscar fight not only makes most dollar and sense... but it was also the most risky and challenging fight when it was made.

you'd prefer pacquiao-guzman over pacquiao-marquez?
you'd prefer pacquiao to fight the #3-4 ranked fighter in the division over the #2?
