Why don't writers recognize Wlad for being what he is: a great champion.
We couldn't find a better man to represent the sport. He doesn't **** women and bite his opponents ears like Tyson, brag and behave childishly like Ali, or use illegal headbutts like Holyfield. Wlad is a soft-spoken gentleman, a good sportsman in and out of the ring, and one of the most powerful punchers we've ever seen.
Wladimir Klitschko
50-3, 44 KO
WBO, IBF and IBO world champion.
That may very well be the case, but, and this is where it all lies, the fights in the heavyweight division, even if they were between the best out there at the moment, are and would all be utterly boring snooze-fests which would make Mayweather vs Hoya fight of the year.
When was the last time a big heavyweight title fight was mentioned as among or the 'Fight of the Year'? All the heavyweight fights are just plain boring with no sustained action, exciting turns or competitive skill. There will never be a Marquez vs Vasquez type fight in the division. There couldn't be because if the fighters aren't fat with no stamina, they are seven foot tall and boringly overmatch their fat, pathetic opponent.
I don't know how anyone can defend the division as it currently stands with all the other exciting fights and great competitive fighters in the lower divisions, not to mention the fact that the top guys are actually fighting each other to prove dominance instead of fans just saying "He's the best fighter, therefore he's the champion."
The heavyweight division, compared to all the other divisions in boxing today, simply sucks ass and it has nothing to do whatsoever with race, color and all the other crapola some of you guys keep trying to pin it on. Face it, the heavyweights are the most boring they've ever been and that's all the is to it!
When, or if, we ever start seeing the best fighting the best and producing fights like Holyfield/Bowe 1, 2, and 3 or Holyfield/Tyson 1 or Ali/Frazier then people will start taking notice and caring again, but until that time comes, if it ever comes again, it will stay as the piece of crap, hopeless division it currently is.
Funnily enough, I can see David Haye making the division a lot more exciting. He's willing to the fight the very best to prove he's the best. He has knockout power, is fast with an exciting style of aggression and has a supposedly suspect chin! He's also, for the media attention, not a big, fat, ugly bastard who looks like he trains once a year with burgers and beer to keep him going nor does he run out of gas after two lacklustre nothing rounds and then just lie against his opponent for the rest of the fight slapping weakly against their lovehandles! What more does the heavyweight division need? Except the other top contenders willing to fight him of course?

If Wlad has 4 KO wins and 1 dominant decision in 5 fights, people go on and on about the decision win not being acceptable.
The man has an 88% KO ratio. Why don't you admit you hate him because he's white?
****ing double standard, and I'm sick of it.

Look and read closely
First of all , the writer of this article is a fricken idiot. To doubt Wlad like that at this point is ridiculous. He mentions that WK is a mere title holder but fails to mention that he owns 2 belts and a win over one of the other title holders making him really a 3 out of 4 belt titlist. Would that not make him THE champ? I think it does. On another front, he would kill every one of the guys who are in line for the 4th belt too. Can you picture Chagaev, Ruiz or even Valuev beating Wlad. Hell no. The autor then says that he is tired of WK taking meaningless matches. How the **** was Sultan Ibragimov a meaningless fight? He owned a belt that was unified for the first time in almost a decade. Meaningless my a55. How was Brewster a meaningless fight? It recovered and avenged a loss from Wlads record and served as proof that the first loss was a fluke. You say that you are tired of meaningless and boring fights from Klitschko, huh? Hell, he allowed only 2 fighters to last the distance with him in his last 8 fights. How about picking on anyone fighting for the belt that Chagaev holds. How many KO's have happened in the title fights for that belt in the last, oh say 4 years? Then he says he needs to fight Peter to legitimize his claim to HW stardom. Do you not recognize the first fight as a win or something? WTF? Only an idiot would have scored more than one of the first fights KD's as legitimate. How does Peter deserve a rematch right away? Based on the KD's? No way! Peter will be relieved of his belt holding duties by Vitali anyways, so don't fret on that. I hope and pray that you never get published on this website again, becasue I may accidentally become more ignorant for having read another one of your acticles unknowingly.

I dont get what all the crying is about the guy fights all top ranked fighters and mandatories, Thompson faught a mandatory bout and won so whats the problem? Same with Povetkin who went through Byrd then Chambers. Wlad beat Peter to get to Byrd, beat Byrd who was the longest raining champ at the time, beat an udefeated prospect in Brock avenged his loss to Brewster beat mandatory Austin beat another champion to unify in Ibragimov, most of them are good fighters its not his fault they putting these guys infront of him, and if Vitali didint make the decision to comeback Im sure we would have had Wlad-Peter 2 soon. Too much crying going on here

Zzzzzzzzzzz
IMO. You had ALI and FOREMAN, Then HOLYFIELD and TYSON.... then Once Tyson left the heavyweight division... it has not been the same... It has had NO NAME... lewis? lol what ever, a filler of that time... There was nobody left and still to this day there is NO TOP P4P KING in that division... Like I said before, Tyson ruined the heavyweight division, got our expectations to high and now look at it.... BORING all the way up till today!

same ole article that has written 1000 time over the last 5 years. yet they aren't paying attentions to the facts. and the fact is things have changed, wlad has gotten better and better, he is such a dominate champion now, thompson has no chance, haye has no chance, peter has no chance.
really wladimir will go down as one of the best in history
