Yeah, true....People running to get in without knowing the party is over. I don't know what has sustained the market as of late frankly. I don't know what has sustained the dollar! I have a feeling the treasury might actually get a chance to print currency in my lifetime....Or at least before we hear about the first expedition to Mars.

you obviously do understand then. There is so much ignorance about financial matters, you see it on the forum when people assume a person with a lot of cash cannot go broke.

I dont know either,, a year ago if the fed mentioned tapering off the QE then the market would drop and go ape ****,,, then here recently when they mentioned it the market goes up,,, It has perplexed me but i learned long ago that trying to figure the market out in the short term is pointless.. I have only made one trade in all of 2013, a buy on ONVO a medical 3D printer company, but other than that, the market makes no sense right now so i stay put

But i know this is a boxing forum, so i wont hijack the thread with anymore of this investment talk, Just cool to have someone else on here that i can talk about it with..

I heard a story where Sven ottke never took big fights is because he got huge money for the fights he did take.. It said he retired with over 300 million and is the richest boxer ever.. Anyone else ever heard of it or know if it's true or false

I know he got huge money as he was a hero in United Germany. That being said, 300 M is an insane amount and there's no way he would have earned that kind of money. He was a superstar in Germany only.

Wasn't there talk about a comeback some years ago - after a divorce had pretty much cleaned him out? Or am I imagining this?

Can you imagine if the two statements were both true? that he retired with 300 million and that a divorce cleaned him out!?
