Nobody even blinked. It was Ali, he had learned something that Malcolm X had needed a revelatory experience, during a pilgrimage, to learn lol. Ali meant it, and everyone was ok with that and why shouldn't they have been? It all made perfect sense. By the time Ali uttered that sentence asking why he should kill people n South East Asia people all understood he was sincere.

Ali could be cruel, he could be devilishly clever, but so many other people could be these things as well. What people really hated about Ali? (some still do) was his sincerity. To be sincere one has to believe in themselves... The talking heads did not really believe the war was Just, or not just, only that they had to say certain things on the air... Nor did they believe Ali was dodging anything, I mean the government would have given a great fighter an easy way... But his sincerity? i believe it made them hate him beyond measure.
Well we know one here who hates him!

Yes he was. Did you read the entire book by the way? I am going on your word....which I hope is good.

But here is proof Williams was ring magazine ranked. You are mistaken
        .

No he wasn't. Holmes fought Williams on the 20th of May1985.Williams was not ranked until the end of that year.By which time Holmes was no longer Champion.

Williams was ranked in 1985 when he lost to Larry Holmes. He then split his next two fights within a year, beating Ferguson ( He was knocked down by the way ) and losing to Weaver.

I produced that Willimas was a ring magazine ranked in 1985. No show me your source or STFU.

I was not talking to you by the way, the post was directed towards Jab.

Nice of you to leave out Williams, Ocasio, and Bey.

Ali really lost to Young, and is 1-2 vs Norton. He barely edged Shavers. And Jones!

And he was lucky to receive smelling salts when Cooper clocked him which is illegal in British Boxing. What a lucky dog.

By the way Holmes TKO 10 over Ali who if you watch the films ( you don't ) acted like an @ss the whole fight.

Also, Bey was ring ranked #3 in 1984. You omitted that name, I'm sure it was just an oversight.

No, I put Bey in there. It auto corrected ro beyond. Even so, none of that makes your case for rating Holmes above Ali any stronger.

Nope, he wasnt ranked till the end of that year and he earned that ranking for his close fight with Holmes .which was in May, I explained this to you but you are too dense to take it in .You just don't know how the Ring Annual ratings work!
I will post whenever I want to and particularly to correct you,as I just have!

                  Willimas? Lol

What? You are mistaken about Williams being ranked and I showed you. Man up. You also failed to acknowledge that Bey was ranked #3 when Holmes foght him that year.

Did you see the Young vs. Ali fight? And the 3rd Noton fight? Who do you think won and if Holmes was in 1977 or 1978 vs. Ali, who do you think wins?

No,Jab is correct.Williams was not ranked until the end of the year and he got his ranking on the strength of his fine showing against Holmes in May

You do know May comes before December, don't you?lol

Williams got the fight with Holmes because he was a ranked no8 by the IBF. But he wasn't ranked by The Ring!
