the average as.shole (most of you) is what I like to call a MEDIA PUPPET. Meaning you follow what ever is 'popular' everybody says Muhhammad Ali is the greatest so we'll say it. Marciano was popular he so he's a great, Louis, Dempsey yada yada yah.

The truth of the matter is, for those FEW of us who aren't media puppets LEWIS and the KLITCHKOS beat any heavyweight who's ever fought more times then not. People like Mike Tyson because of his CHARACTER, yea he was good in his prime, but prime lennox always beats tyson, tyson could never get past the jab. Tyson has always had **** stamnia and always got discouraged when he couldn't knock a guy out within 3-4 rounds.

Ali had no power and wouldnt be knocked out by all 3, he's not decisioning a modern day 6'7 240 pound heavyweight, hell he got 2 gift decisions vs Norton. Marciano, Dempsey, Louis are too small and would be destroyed rather quickly, those 3 wouldn't even beat an average fighter like David Tua or Razor Ruddock.

As I said in years past, if their was magically a heavyweight boxing tournament of the top most known 64 heavyweights all time, college basketball tourney style, Marciao dempsey ali louis wouldn't be the final 4, they might not even get out of the 1st round. Imagine these 1st round match ups.

Ibeuchi vs Dempsey, Marciano vs V.Klitchko, Feather Fisted ALI vs Valuev Louis vs Holyfield .

If you had to bet your house on it that rocky marciano could beat lennox lewis or muhhammad ali could be wlad klitchko then your as ****** as you look!

theres one thing to consider...

the weight limit of the heavyweights has changed as have the size of its fighters in the division.

it was rare to see a 6'7 250lb heavyweight in the 50's and 60's when some of the fighters you're referring to reigned supreme. so you have to take that into account.

some "heavyweights" of the the 50's and 60's wouldnt be heavyweights if they were fighting today.

forget size.

i dont care what tournament you create ali, marciano, louis, frazier, etc. are all getting out of the first round.

you think some of these out-of-shape, hairy, fatf*ks could really outbox some of the greatest boxers of we've been blessed to see (whether it be live for some of the old timers out there or for most of us younger people; on replays)???

fat ass valuev would work for ali nicely because he couldnt catch ali.

yeah; standing next to each other valuev would look towering and intimidating to most fans because of the size advantage for valuev (height and weight) but when you break down the skills and advantages other than size and power (generated by that size of a man...being 7ft and who knows how many lbs he is these days) all the advantages go to ali. that includes footspeed, handspeed, speed in general, defense, boxing ability, technique, defense, etc. ALL in ali's favor.

so unless valuev just paints ali with a good one he never sees coming ali's winning the fight.

lewis is an ATG no question...vitali is a lot more hype than he is skill and wlad im not 100% sold on...i mean he is incredibly smart...disciplined and steamrolls majority of his opponents but until someone reallys tests him at HW i cant say for sure.

you would be taken more seriously if you thought lewis was the greatest hw of all time rather than including vitali...what a joke. he doesnt break the top 64 heavyweights of all time to even get in your makebelieve tournament so how does he make it to the top 3???haha.

all time greats dont make me think vitali...i think marciano, ali, frazier, louis, dempsey, etc. etc. etc. (could go on forever) but it would take at least 100 hw before a current hw even popped into my head.

I am a big fan of the Klitschko brothers but even if Vitali could fight a prime Marciano for ex. and completely destroy him, because of the size differential its nothing to brag about really. In regards to Modern HWs vs. the old timers, it is not a matter of better but rather different. The standards are different, and the sport is in many ways different so its hard to make fair comparisons....the legends of the past are exactly that, anyway you look at it they are still legends.
