[PLEASE HELP] How do you make a good hamburger patty (from ground beef, for BBQ)?

I have a bunch of ground beef and a big bag of charcoal. How do you make good hamburger patties to be cooked on a charcoal grill?

    Loving that sig, big dog!

Well, you just pat them out. Grab a handful and squish ir and squeeze it until you form a patty about the size of a KFC biscuit. Throw that bad boy on the grill and flip it a few times until you can squeeze it and no blood runs out and you're good, my man! Good luck!

What’s up bro, yeah there plenty of ways you can do it and to be honest we all have different tastes, so you have to just do it and the more you do it the more you’ll know how you like them.. but like previous dude said just make a patty and flip it a few times, i do recommend something in the 80/20 lean to fat Ratio...

Yeah, he's right, punchr. 80/20 is solid. I used 73/27 the other day. Turned out fine but 80/20 is where it's at.

I like to dice up some mushrooms and add them into the patties, and/or some fresh garlic.

Don’t put the burgers on the the gril until the flame of the coals has gone down. You want nice glowing embers for coals. Season the meat. You try some garlic powder, salt, worstershire sauce, or whatever you prefer. While cooking, once you see some blood on top of the patties it’s time to flip them. Whatever you do, never press down on the burgers with the spatula to make them cook faster. You will squeeze all the juices out of it and dry it out like a hockey puck.

Add a bit of salt, pepper, garlic powder or cajun mix into the meat, make some nice thick patties and put these babies on the grill. Don't overcook the meat and I usually only flip once.

I got to be brutally honest brother I’ve only done this once myself and it’s because I wanted to save a bit of money from buying the Frozen hamburger patties already ready to cook. Well i did end up saving a bit of money but grilling them using charcoal was not a total success because they lumped up on me on they became to thick but they did taste awesome, better than the other frozen patties. Ok so what we did is season the hamburger meat with salt black pepper and cumin. Then we rolled the hamburger meat with our hands into patties. Where we messed up is we should have tried to flatten the patties by pressing them with something flat, like the back of a paper plate. Watever you do just keep in mind that the meat usually shrinks and swells up a bit. But don’t be scared watever you cook will usually be a success using basic traditional seasoning and keeping an eye on your grill. It’s a bit of trial and error but depending on the region where you live I can easily recommend things for you to grill and I’ll help you save money

Mix some Montreal steak seasoning in with the hamburger meat. Then make a thick party and insert cheddar cheese. Cover the hole back up and flame on.
