That is the biggest misconseption. I became a fan of the sport because of PRIDEfc but it's only nostaligic to think it was the golden era. MMA has had many golden era's in the passed decade. How can you define what is the best era?

If you just look at social media and ppv numbers, the past 5-6 years have been the best for mma BY FAR.

For people who start watching MMA in the passed 5 years will feel just as nostalgic about the current generation as we do about the PRIDE era. But it isn't realistic.

The positives of a clean sport out way the positives of juiced up fighters.

The sport was never clean, it isn't now and it never will be. None of these full contact sports are clean or ever will be.

You missed the point on Pride. The reasons people loved it so much was all PED-fueled. The fighters were extremely explosive much more so in general than today(PED) they were more entertaining. The fighters could take a tremendous amount of punishment and keep going(PED) which gave us countless classic fights. Fighters, even the champs fought very very frequently because they were recovering very quickly between fights(PED).

Less PED in this sport would mean a decrease of all of those great things.

Look I get it, you live in a world where you are actually able to tell yourself that fighters aren't using because they say so and because they pass these tests for now. That's great, I wish I could still believe it too. I can't.

Damn they were about to make Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic for the HW title on Dec. 2 in Detroit. That means they were likely trying to line up Lesner as a title defense sometime next summer once Lesner got outta his re-testing pool thing you gotta do.
