W. Silva comments about UFC 52 and Tito

You can't compare the present day situation with Couture to a few years ago where everybody said he was finished after the Ricco and Barnett fights. You can't stop age, and I think that Randy is just about done. Father time catches up to us all.

I didnt say it happens everytime, I said its always a possibility in a Chuck fight. I say Randy beats Chuck 90% of the time. In this sport there is hardly ever a definate 100%. Kevin Randleman KOed CroCop for cryin out loud. Randy got caught perfect, it happens. I wouldnt be so quick to count him out. I just dont understand how you came to your conclusion that Randy is no longer a top LHW in a fight that only lasted 3 minutes.....

Because if he was in his prime, that fight would have lasted a lot longer than 3 minutes, unless Randy would have taken him down and pounded him out.

I agree with this and all I'm saying regarding Randy is he is not a top 3 fighter anymore in my book. He can beat the Vitor's and Tito's but he's not gonna beat any of the champs again IMO.

I actually think Chuck is a bad match up for Silva because of his chin, fighting style, and punching power. I think he would take alot of damage but could very possible KO Silva, but at the same time I think it might go to decision cuz Mark Hunt couldnt KO Silva and I'm pretty confidant that he hits harder than Chuck....

Couture beats Liddell in a rematch, I'm willing to bet the farm on it.
Randy got caught, **** happens, to say he's washed up is insane. I bet he's in better physical shape than most of the fighters in the UFC. He couldn't see out of his right eye and got smacked with a left hook that rocked him. He was out of it and Liddell finished the job, how does that equate do being washed up?
Personally, I think he was off his game for what ever reason but it sounds like he split with his wife and that'll **** your mind up.
He will be back. Anyone that can man handle Tito for 5 rounds is not past his prime

Ok my 2 cents:

Randy would win that fight 9 times out of 10. Why Randy won in my opinion was a really bad game plan. Randy was the champ, in the fight you can see Randy running after Chuck like he had to go adn get him. Chuck back pedal adn cought him with a beautifull punch.

Randy all he had to do was stand in the ring and let Chuck come to him. Chuck is a counter fighter. If you go at him he will impose his way like he just did. Kudos to him.

Now about Tito and Silva, Silva would own his ass all night long in Pride. Tito wona biased call vs. Silva. Remember this is a popularity game as much as anything else. Silva is a hero in Japana and in Pride he is king. Tito looked like **** vs. a A- fighter in Cote. Silva looks like he improves more with every fight, look at his new and improved ground game in the Yoshida fights. Not only that is Tito fights the same way he did, he woudl get carded all the time for running away or stalling, which he is great in the UFC in Pride they stand your ass up 'cause Japs want to see a fight.

BTW- Randy is not done

Give Couture another shot at Liddell. If he wins, there's no reason he shouldn't keep fighting. If he loses in brutal fashion once again, maybe he should retire.

I've never claimed to be an expert, just giving my opinion on what I saw. To me, he just didn't fight like his old self. Yes he was in great shape, but so was Ken Shamrock when he fought Franklin. By no means am I suggesting he stop fighting. I just think he is not a top 3 fighter anymore. Let him fight a few more fights, if he get beaten again, he should heead out to pasture, if he wins a few, lte the man rumble.
