It makes no difference to me what you say, coz at the end of the day MMA keeps getting bigger and bigger. But it's a good thing for Boxing too and you should appreciate that. It forces boxing to put on better cards and not just have one big fight. And hopefully to actually have the to guys fight eachother some day.

But anyway you didnt actually give any decent arguments but i thought i'd respond anyway coz im bored. Can't believe your still saying mmgay, it actually show your level of immaturity and lack of intelligence. And in a way, discredits any opinion you give lol
MMA keeps getting bigger and bigger? looks to me like they have peaked, i can't see them getting anything more than the beer chugging white male college students.

MMGAY fans hate on boxing all the F*ucking time so I will hate back.

no MMA fighter is on the pacman's or FMJ's level when it comes to athleticism and work ethic.

I'm sorry Wanderlei_silva, the only logical MMA fan on this board, but that is my reasoning.
For every meathead MMA fan, theres one on boxings side too. Don't really see that as a valid point. There are plenty of guys with that level, if not better, of athleticism and work ethic in mma. Guys like GSP work just as hard as the top guys in any sport

Yip the facts are there. More viewers for ufc fight nights lately. And even the PPVs with no big name are drawing good numbers this year. And the ones with the names are doing great. UFC is expanding to even more countries next year and i can't wait to see how well SF does on CBS

mma is the fastest growing sport on the planet, growing massively in the UK, all over europe, already big in the USA, they plan to have ppv's in mexico and all over south america.

edit: forgot about the ppv they are having in australia too

more so refering to that when insulted a typical fan will, instead of making valid points to argue against the insult, attack the character of the person making the insult. you know like: their just afraid, they need to face their fears, their just a thug, how much of an idiot can you be, i laugh at how sad and desperate they must be to go so low, hes clearly lost his mind, he must have been ****d one to many times in prison....you know.

though i guess thats how any body reacts when faced with something they cant argue against.

It's dead as dog**** in Japan,Cage Rage(the biggest MMA promotion in europe) is dead,so much for growing in europe. The show that the ufc promoted in germany was a flop, ticket sales were very slow, the show itself ****** and it didn't recieve any decent press

I understand your reasoning, however two closed-minded individuals don't make a right. Idiots on both sides of the aisle when it comes to Boxing vs. MMA (which it shouldn't be, they can both co-exist and share many fans).

And by your last comment about athleticism you obviously have never seen George St. Pierre fight or many other top level MMA fighters. And the work ethic in both sports is the same for the top fighters. They both work equally hard at their profession, this is a fact.

1 minute’s rest. Do 3-5 sets depending on how much you feel like puking

                      VS

                      Floyd mayweathers training
                      Jogging

“How far I run each day varies,” says Mayweather. “And sometimes if I’ve sparred more rounds than usual on one particular day, won’t run at all. But when do hit the road, I’ll do anything between five and eight-and-a-half miles going fast."

                      Sit-up punches

This is where his trainer holds his legs and then he stands up out of a sit-up position, throws two uppercuts then returns back down. Go for as many as possible. Inevitably give up after three.

                      Skipping

A lung-hurting exercise that also helps a fighter's coordination as he rhythmically works out where his feet land as the rope swings at high speed. Mayweather will sometimes skip up to 20 minutes straight, often as a warming-up exercise.

                      Neck Harness

An exercise that's unique to boxing. The fighter lies on the canvas of a ring with his head pointing over it and a neck harness attacked round his head. This has chains linking it to a weight - putting a strain on his neck muscles. Mayweather will just move his head up and down so that his neck doesn't snap back on a fight night.

                      2/ Technique

                      Sparring

"I spar between eight and ten rounds every day to work on my technique and certain punches I'm going to use to expose the boxer I'm fighting. I'm working on my uppercut because I've noticed Marquesz has been dropped a few times with that punch."

                      Shadowboxing

Footwork - that is the elegance with which a fighter moves round the ring to position himslef to throw punches - is a great fighter's main weapon. Mayweather's footwork is a second to none. And shadowboxing is where he hones it.

                      Pads

The speed at which Mayweather throws punches while his trainer holds the padded mitts is remarkable, often ducking under his trainer's hands. "I'll do 30 minutes of padwork straight," says Mayweather, "with no break at all."

                      Punch bags

"I heard straight for the heaviest bag in my gym that really pushes my body as I hit it and then don't stop for another 20 minutes. I'm looking to not only go into that fight looking to win, I also want to be viewed by others as the best at my sport."

just saying the guy following randys routine has a good hour ahead of him at the gym where as the guy following floyds routine has a good 3 years of training to get to that point plus a good 3-5 hours of training ahead of him ever day.

Unfortuantely most of the other mMA guys routines consist of something like this:

Conditioning: if you dotn have it you wont last 3 rounds.

                      Power: this is also important

diet: if your not eating right you wont get stronger

training: i do alot of this also

so if you can find something better that proves these guys exercise and work harder then boxers that would be cool.

Personally i think mma guys dont post their routine because after writing it down they realize that its something that can be achieved with very little hard work and little previous training to get to that point where as boxers know that its going to take you many years to catch up to their routine....if you even can.
