POATAN at heavyweight?

With the chatter around a potential fight down the line between Perreira and Aspinall, do you guys think Poatan could be successful at heavy?

He’s a big dude but having an elite fully fledged heavyweight wrestling you, surely he’s gonna struggle? Also is his power gonna travel 2 divisions up?

I’m still a noob to MMA but weight in that sport seems crazy. The gaps between divisions are huge, those guys seem to drain themselves way worse than boxers. And they’re all weird shape, heights sizes in each division - the elite wrestling guys look like they tend to be short and stocky but built like brick **** houses.

I like Poatan but he'd be way out of his depth at HW. Guys like Gane, Volkov, Aspinall and Pavlovich could potentially even beat him standing. Its just too much of a leap.

It's not the strongest weightclass so he could pick up a few top 10 wins but think he struggles with the guys in the top 5.

If he gets taken down by the guys that can wrestle he's in real trouble
