Nah, like you said, the cavalry became less important so the phalanx wasn't used for its best purpose of pinning the enemy in place. The improvements that Philip and Alexander made didn't really last all that long. Hellenistic warfare kind of took a backward step.

What do yer make of Pyrrhus? Hannibal spoke very highly of the fella.

top is older and worst condition but it's smaller , cooler and hard to find.

bottom is newer and better condition but it's easy to get.

i don't think they had a choice. not enough horses that's why.

pyrrhus was worst off than the bigger hellenistic kingdom. epirus was not very large size-wise , population-wise , money-wise.

pyrrhus definitely couldn't risk his manpower.

i think he was a good tactician but his cousin and hannibal were probably better. even with accounting for the greater resources both had over pyrrhus. alexander had the entire greek world backing him , hannibal had the riches of spain and plenty of mercenaries and roman haters to recruit from.

I was lying. You should keep the Chinese one. Both rated about the same, but the Chinese one is about 3 times the price.

the price difference is because that amd-65 is a semi-auto.

the chinese one is a full-auto.

my guess is that the amd-65 on that page is a humpty dumpty gun.

import laws prevent ak's from coming in the u.s.

so the hungarian ones can only get here by being chopped up (separate components for the parts importable) and then matched up with some american parts that weren't importable.

the chinese versions 1. was being imported into the u.s. before the ban of importation or 2. got illegally imported into the u.s. and then passed off as one that was imported in before the import ban
