Thank you for the kind words too.

I can also say this, Larry is an excellent source to take advice from on this. Not only is the man a great father to his kids, the man had problems in the past and he doesn't let it define him.

He sounds like someone who can really give you great advice on this from personal experience, which is the best perspective.

Now if you have any specific questions or anything for me, I'll be happy to take a shot at it.

I watch larry I see what he does

Even though hes an american black man and I'm an english white boy we are very similar in certain ways

But again this is where I fail

Hes pro active and I guess I'm not

But I just been talking to a man and I'm gunna volunteer and attempt to become a youth worker of some sort

Used my messed up self to help others so they dont end up like me

        Baby steps

My only question regarding the thread I guess Is how to STICK to the correct path without straying to old ways

100% people can change. You just gotta be mindful of your direction at all times & work towards making positive moves daily habits that keep you steered towards a more righteous & productive path for you & yours. And generally it is a fook up or a child that helps getting you seeing the right path better so I think the incentive is there for you in this situation. I was doing dumb sh^t til I caught a DUI & realized how lucky I was to catch a DUI instead of being killed or killing someone else in an accident that could have paralyzed me or put me in prison & my life has moved to more positive situations ever since.

And I'll add don't get too caught up on failures or L's you do take while moving towards changing for the better. No one is perfect. Perfect is unattainable. Take the L, accept it & try to learn from it & prevent it in the future.

I have a son and my mission started when he was born as I dont want him to be anything like me

I want him to be great and successful in any area he chooses but for that to happen he cant have what I am as his role model

I have done well and have achieved most self improvement goals I set myself so far

But I have this voice telling me it's all in vein and to be honest I do have a history of being back and forth between the right and wrong path in life

              So my question is

Do you think a person is really capable of self change or am I kidding myself here?

Can I change myself while staying true to my roots?
Yes you are capable of self change. You've already started judging from your post. Not sure what you mean by staying true to your roots. If staying true to your roots means you can't make the changes or holds you back then that has to go.
