When I do go to Church (besides spontaneously combusting) I do feel at peace after a service.
That's because church is a refresher. Tired? Go to church. Bored? Go to church. Hungry? Go to church, get some snacks after lol.

I had the weirdest Christian brother j.b. dude was in a deadly motorcycle accident, barely escaped with his life. So nowadays he has trouble walking and is in serious pain. Had a few suicidal ideals but at times he goes into his car just to sit in the seat because it's more comfortable than his house couches.

Jb needed a lot of pot to fight the pain off. He said about the MaryJane: I want to work in the jails as a chaplain, not live in one lol.

I think he moved down south where pot is illegal but anyway just to make light of a bad situation I sat in his car one time, and I got a buzz! He said in his apologetic voice "I am soo sorry!" Lol.

What are their specific prayer requests? Perhaps we can take one each and pray for them. If not then we could do it silently in prayer

While perusing through the tattoo thread the other morning. An exchange between Rip and Fat Asian/Mike_B caught my attention and put me in deep thought/reflection.

It touched me deeply to see two men, who's opinions I value have an adult conversation about Christ, tattoos, trying to live each day righteously, sinning and how we as humans tend to compartmentalize sin. Fasting to regain balance whilst fighting a rough battle with a particular sin. etc.

The fellowship between those two posters inspired me to create this thread for those with like minds, hearts, and spirits, in an effort to support each other as we do our best to walk this earth as close to the image of Christ as we possibly can.

I too have my fair share of tattoos, and exercising poor judgement just like the next man and can appreciate potnas supporting each other through the hills and valleys in our walk of life trying our best to get close to Christ.

          God Bless Ya'll,
          C2O!

"2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."

          James 1: 2-4

I honestly feel like I needed to read this tonight. I have had enough of just about everything going on in the world right now. This thread is a good reminder to remember what's really important and the bigger picture. Thanks Chief!

This world is so full of hatred right now. It's so hard not to get pulled in and start participating in the hatred. Everything going on right now absolutely is straight from the pits of hell. But it has also been prophesied about and must happen because it's the will of God.

No doubt this thread is going to get sidetracked and have plenty of trolls trying to derail it. That's what happens to anything good. I hope that we can keep it going. God bless everyone and remember to pray for this nation. Pray for the world. We all need it.

I was gonna reply that sounds like God's presence, however Mike basically beat me to it.

You hit the nail on the head bruh. You cant help but feel more alive when you walk out of those doors then from when you walked through them.

God is trying to tell us all something right now, looking at the state of the world today.

As Christians it's our job to encourage and lift each other up as well as hold each other accountable and let our brothers know when they have erred, but to do that in love. We are all striving to live our lives in accordance with the Word of GOD, it isn't easy, especially since our flesh wars against our spirit. The important thing is communing with the SPIRIT of GOD and that's the best way to combat sinful lifestyles while living in a world that has rejected GOD. Remember brothers we are to be in the world but not of the world, it's going to be a hard road to travel but in the end we all want to hear the LORD say "job well done" instead of "depart from me." Let's all lift each other up in CHRIST and remember to tell others of the salvation HE offers. One of the best ways to do that is living for HIM and being that example, when people see the way you act they know it's different and will ask. If they won't accept it then ok it's not on us to convince but to let them know. Shake the dust off our feet and move on and plant seeds elsewhere.
Cant be said more perfectly. This post from you Rip depicts word for word the intent behind this thread. I appreciate you for being you bruh.

Al my brother!!! Man to say its good to see you is grossly understating the obvious. I hope all has been well bruh. I'm glad you made it up in here.

I lurked on the right morning bruh when I came accross Rip and Mike talking, and those to brothers inspired me.

We all need encouragement from time to time, and to be held accountable at all times and the Lounge is a bonified mess where those two things are far few and in between(which is simply just a true reflection of the world right now).

I'll be praying for all of ya'll's prosperity for all time, and especially amidst this crisis(God is showing us better than he can tell us right now).

"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord."
                  Proverbs 18:22

I lead with that because Mrs. Chief found this book for us(we've been getting into reading more lately) before the pandemic hit and I wanted to share with ya'll in my opinion it's a very powerful book, and a daily eye opener:

Title: Jesus Calling-Enjoying Peace in His Presence
                  Author: Sarah Young

The book is broken down into a passage a day. I do my best to read the daily passage(I fail and miss a day every now and again, however I've been a lot better with my consistency lately). Below is yesterday's passage just to give a feel for how powerful this book really is. It's a must have in the household for us.

Chief second, I am humbled, I forgot to tell you that. 2nd, I have a prayer request brethren, my hernia mesh that they stitched me with is starting to pain. Have a wonderful Sunday, hoping you can watch a virtual service!

There once was a bishop preaching out of the local hotel. His little assistant made a good poimt: spiritual is the faith in Jesus, religion is the mass of customs. To be followed, service brings your faith alive! Instead of just hogging your bible, or showing up as a Fairweather so and so. It's like sparring, you can't just do that alone, you need to hit.the heavy bag too.

He is our Jesus, may he be shared with everyone! Please pray for me too. I just had an urge to get this out no matter how cheezy it sounds.

I am lucky that my pastor let's me take notes, on scripture because I get to slacking on the reading sometimes. This kinda makes my day, learning new passages or verses.

                    May peace be with you.

Also there was a guy in that bishop's church. He was studying to become a witch doctor, but he gave it up for Jesus. His salvation lead him to praying for others. I was just a Houseman taking out the garbage and he said to me " may Jesus be with you and your mental state always!"as we rode the elevator together at the hotel. They were from the school of prophets from Saskatchewan.
