Encouragement and Accountability In Christ Thread

This is a thread to offer a gathering place for my brothers who are doing their best daily just trying to live their lives in accordance with the Word of GOD. -Shout out to Rip Chudd, so very well stated that I had to slide it up in here.

While perusing through the tattoo thread the other morning. An exchange between Rip and Fat Asian/Mike_B caught my attention and put me in deep thought/reflection.

It touched me deeply to see two men, who's opinions I value have an adult conversation about Christ, tattoos, trying to live each day righteously, sinning and how we as humans tend to compartmentalize sin. Fasting to regain balance whilst fighting a rough battle with a particular sin. etc.

The fellowship between those two posters inspired me to create this thread for those with like minds, hearts, and spirits, in an effort to support each other as we do our best to walk this earth as close to the image of Christ as we possibly can.

I too have my fair share of tattoos, and exercising poor judgement just like the next man and can appreciate potnas supporting each other through the hills and valleys in our walk of life trying our best to get close to Christ.

    God Bless Ya'll,
    C2O!

The bible seemed to have a decent message. Not for me but when people aren't preachy ****s about it I don't have any issues with people being into Jesus or whatever. I just hate the history of the scumbags who spread the word.

I look at it like this. I believe, and even though I believe I don't feel that I need to "force" it upon anyone. However, a person having a conversation with me will know that I believe. Everybody has free will. I figure who am I to judge? There's only one judge and that's God.

I have given religion a shot before. Not for me

When I do go to Church (besides spontaneously combusting) I do feel at peace after a service.

Christian churches just remind me of **** or something. If God works for people and they actually live a good life because of Christ then it's no problem with me...

RipChudd is one of the most righteous dudes on this forum. I admire his restraint from engaging in hot topics. I need some of his discipline. I know without a doubt that is Satan working behind these ****** arguments, racial or otherwise but have a hard time refraining from them.

I agree Jim my man. Rip is a stand up guy. I also agree its been hard to avoid all the craziness and you right it's all satans work. But God is at work in a major way if you ask me, from the virus, to the poor state of our nation , the list goes on, and on.

Through all this, I hope we all learn to accept each other despite our differences, and help each other along in the world as the Lord intended us to.

Nice. Shout out to my guy Chief2ndzOnly! for making the thread. You said you would do it and you came through. I just hope it doesn't get derailed by the usual nonsense we see on here.

As Christians it's our job to encourage and lift each other up as well as hold each other accountable and let our brothers know when they have erred, but to do that in love. We are all striving to live our lives in accordance with the Word of GOD, it isn't easy, especially since our flesh wars against our spirit. The important thing is communing with the SPIRIT of GOD and that's the best way to combat sinful lifestyles while living in a world that has rejected GOD. Remember brothers we are to be in the world but not of the world, it's going to be a hard road to travel but in the end we all want to hear the LORD say "job well done" instead of "depart from me." Let's all lift each other up in CHRIST and remember to tell others of the salvation HE offers. One of the best ways to do that is living for HIM and being that example, when people see the way you act they know it's different and will ask. If they won't accept it then ok it's not on us to convince but to let them know. Shake the dust off our feet and move on and plant seeds elsewhere.

I don't know about that man, I'm just trying to live according to the Word. I get in discussions on here but I just don't see the need to get too into things when it doesn't really benefit anyone in the end so there's no reason to get all worked up, especially since it's the internet. You are right about Satan being behind a lot of this, especially social media to get folks so wrapped up in themselves and other people's posts or lives and not focused on GOD.
