I just watched a Korean movie called Empire of Lust. Takes place during the 14th Century. One good battle scene and lots of good swordplay. Evidently historically accurate as well.

AND....some very good *** scenes with a hot little Korean lady named Han-Na Kang. I counted 5 different ***ual positions
going on including blow jobs and cunnilingus.

I'm a big fan of MacBeth. If you get a chance, check out "Kumonosu-Jo" aka "Throne of Blood" by Akira Kurosawa, which is a Samurai movie based on MacBeth. I remember it being worthy.

^Respect for knowing that Tatsuya Nakadai classic. I've been telling people about that one for literally decades and always get a blank stare back.

There's better samurai films, but one that I treasure as much as that one. It's a study of madness that was decades before it's time.

That's solid^. Moves very slow so I recommend people be careful who they watch it with or it could ruin the experience. But, when one has the time to get immersed in it, it's such a rewarding experience. The sophistication of a Shakespeare story combined with the visual artistry of Kurosawa.

"The sword is the soul. Study the sword to know the mind. Evil mind, evil sword."

I haven't seen that movie in over a decade, but what I got from it isn't a study of madness, but identity. Mifune is a weapon. That's all he is. He isn't mad in a relative sense, but he was born to be a weapon. He was born to kill. That's his identity.

He was born in a human world, but he is a killer. He is a sword. He represents death. The sword of doom.

Maybe I remember it wrong, I gotta see it again.
