Yet, you're willing to claim that only 10% of ads are portraying whites in a negative light. Perhaps if you were white you'd actually notice it more?

I can look at things objectively. Regardless if it concerns black, white, Asian, Hispanic, etc. It wasn't too long ago, just a decade or so, that almost every commercial that featured blacks had them singing and dancing. Either that or engaged in some type of sports. They still do this to a certain degree. Suddenly they break out into a song or dance for no reason. Yet I didn't hear a lot of outcries of stereotyping. It was flying under the radar because the commercials depicted the characters in a positive light, being happy, living in the suburbs, or doing all the things middle class America does, so apparently that made it alright to use stereotypes.

Often times no one even blinks at a commercial like this, unless of course you are looking for an angle to play. In this case, I think Chance was looking for an angle, reaching just a little too far.

Ridiculous for anyone to see this add and think they're referring to skin color and not beer calories.

Spin this commercial around, and have a Guinness slide past all the asian folks and all the white folks into the arms of a black man, then the title reels out the "blacker the better", I guarantee these same dudes complaining that there is nothing wrong with the commercial will lose all their senses.

Stay mad kid. Stay mad little boy.
The only thing I get mad about is fake bs from clowns like you that gets taken seriously by others and influences public perceptions. It's annoying because you then later have to explain to those how they've been misled, and it's not an easy thing to do because people have a hard time letting go of things they want to believe are true.

As far as the ad in the OP, it doesn't bother me. Yeah, it strikes me as an obvious slight but in the grand scheme of things isn't really a big deal.

Lol seriously. These are people that get butthurt if a White guy looks mildly confused in an ad.

Can you imagine if they outright implied that being White is worse? Hah, forget it. This would be a 100 page thread.

This clip is a parody of what I said in my previous post, but it gets the point across. This sort of singing and dancing stereotype in every black commercial went on for decades until recently, and still happens to a lesser extent.

Not because something has been going on for decades makes it right. People come to their senses at different time. Maybe it is time now for the advertisers to evolve along with the people's consciousness.

It was anecdotal evidence, maybe the ads are different where you come from? (They almost certainly are from country to country).

No need to get your panties in a twist!

You talk about influencing public perception but were going on about how this is an obscure internet forum just before. No comprende!

No hard feelings, I appreciate the occasional call out, makes me feel speshell
