We must show empathy towards ole Larry Limpnoodle there.
None must be shown towards the girls that might be offended or traumatized by having him in their locker room or shower.

While I doubt it's 100% genetic, ultimately that wouldn't change my opinion about it. If people chose to be gay, wouldn't really make me feel like it was a bad thing to do.
But I don't believe anyone would choose the life of feeling incredibly out of place, like Lila Perry, if they had the choice. The life of having to go through all of these obstacles to be recognized for who you are. I can't really relate, but I couldn't imagine if I suddenly woke up with the same mind and was in a girl's body that I'd feel too great about no one being able to acknowledge who I am .

But even if that were not an issue, I don't see a penis or a vagina as the defining characteristic of what counts as a man or a woman.
Personally I'd have no qualms with non-gender/non-*** specific bathrooms. I don't see why a woman, by whatever definition, being in the same bathroom as men, by whatever definition, is problematic.
EDIT: That was my stance on bathrooms, locker rooms are just a bit trickier. I explain in a later post but the jist is that I don't think it's ok for pre-op trans***uals to expose themeselves, so as long as they can change modestly or in a stall or in some other reasonable way, I see no problem with their presence in said locker room. I'm sure each case can be handled, but I feel that it would be unfair to push that person in a locker room designated for another gender as this is spelling out in no uncertain terms that you do not agree with their own assessment of their own gender, which is an incredibly alienating experience.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 09-01-2015, 07:35 PM.

XX=female, XY=male It's quite simple.
Or put another way:
This person has a penis. Thus he's a male.
Feel free to read up on XX male syndrome, where someone with XX chromosomes and the SRY gene causes the development of male genitalia, or XY female syndrome. Or anything else I've mentioned that actually makes this topic a whole lot less simple than you might have pictured.
TLDR: Not everyone is XX or XY, not everyone with a penis is XY, not everyone with a vagina is XX. Not everyone has just one of the two organs in question, and not everyone has either of them.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 09-01-2015, 06:15 PM.

Let's be honest here. This is the case of a dude wearing a wig and a dress and expecting to be able to hang out in the girl's locker room.
