The question is about the worst directors of ALL TIME. The directors mentioned are far from the worst of all time, you should mention people who directed films like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle or Super Mario Bros. Them guys.

    And it's Kurosawa not Kirowsawa.

You think Kubrick would have done a better job?

I watched a few Ed Wood films recently. Thought they were funny, and looked nice. Orgy of the Dead in particular had some nice breasts and hilariously bad acting in it. Bettr than many comedy films.

I've never even seen one of his films. Looks like his forte is making shitty video games into films.

Has anyone seen his film "Auschwitz?"

            Paul Thomas Anderson, seriously???

Every movie the guys made is good.

Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia, There Will Be Blood, and The Master are all good and critically acclaimed.

Seriously, what is wrong with people on here???

Surely the subjective quality of the film is irrelevant here, we're talking about technical competency? So if - just to pull out one random example, based on no one in particular - you were the sort of guy who says stuff like "I'd like Woody Allen if only he made a film about a stringy, mopey streak of piss with gay piercings", that wouldn't matter in an objective assessment. What you'd be looking at is yer man with the camerawork, no? I don't like any sport outside boxing, but I wouldn't say Shaq O'Neall was a crap basketball player. Or summat.

Anyway, I've only read the first three pages, but this thread is predictably Fat Yank-centric. Surely Green Teef Michael Winner deserves to challenge for the title here?

Christopher Nolan is another one whom I don't particularly care for outside of the fantastic job he did with 'Memento.' Tim Burton is another whom I personally consider a one trick pony.
