He's at least one of the worst 5 high-profile movie directors.

I think Quentin Tarantino, David Cronenberg, Werner Herzog and Roland Emmerich are awful too.
That's because you've never listened to K Billy's Super sounds of the 70s.

Uwe Boll is another one who is a stronger contender for this disgraceful championship.

Spike Lee is a good shout as well, as far as praised directors go. Woody Allen would be another. I've honestly never liked a single film made by either director, nor have I ever met someone who has, despite the fact that they are continuously touted as being amongst the greats.

Christopher Nolan is another one whom I don't particularly care for outside of the fantastic job he did with 'Memento.' Tim Burton is another whom I personally consider a one trick pony.

He had a couple of good flicks like Signs, but for the most part he is subpar. The worst are the director imitators like Aaron Friedman and Jason Friedberg.

What did you think of the 25th hour with Ed Norton, or He Got Game with Ray Allen? I thought those were pretty good.

I've not seen 25th hour, but I'll add it to my list of stuff to check out and get back to you about it at a later date. As for He Got Game, I thought Ray Allen pretty much ruined any potential it had from the get-go.
