I believe in fate. Things in your life happen for a reason. Also, I am certain that someone or something has held a hand over me at some points and during specific situations in my life.

What's the rule to those beliefs??? Can you come back as a human, or are you always something different???

Imagine if you came back as a spider, and had to **** big hairy female spiders. Being chased by cats and being flicked to death by a big cripple in a wheelchair who hates his life. The irony aye!

Brilliant.
Whatever else they think, the biggest problem with it all, is that even if you do come back, you don't do it with the same consciousness as in this life, so what ****ing difference does it make?
Either way, you don't know. You die, and that's it...or if you come back, you don't do it with the same memories, thoughts, consciousness so again, you don't know. Makes no difference.
Unless you believe in life after death in another 'secret' God realm in which you and everyone that's ever been born and died lives together in heaven....except the unbelievers....which then makes god an immoral **** for sending all the babies and children that haven't started to believe anything yet to hell....but he wouldn't do that because he's all merciful, which means he's bringing all the future Allah preaching ********* zealot babies to heaven (he knows they are going to be Allah worshippers being omniscient and all, so he must be cool with bringing future *********s into heaven, but then they haven't become one yet, and he knows that too so they're still innocent I guess), and that heaven is in fact one massive crib for billions upon billions upon billions of babies that must outnumber the adult 'saved' about a million to one. They can't grow up in heaven of course, because then most of them would be the non believers, *********, other God worshipping, murdering, raping types that can't get into heaven....unless they've all been saved.
I wonder who nurses them then....
****, this god stuff is complicated. I'm glad an omniscient, all knowing being is the administrator of all this **** because it's beyond me!Last edited by BennyST; 04-11-2013, 10:58 AM.

I think consciousness is a product of our biological make-up. All sentient creatures have some sort of basic CPU that processes environmental stimuli and produces a response.
We've basically got a super advanced version of that, with brains that are constantly processing information about the environment and producing what we call 'thoughts', responses to the environmental stimuli we've experienced in other words.
When your brain stops working, this processing stops and thoughts stop being produced as well. No processing of information, no consciousness. No consciousness, no life.
'Life after death' is an oxymoron I'm afraid.
