It's a pity this thread has been reduced to an anti-Christianity thread.

That was much nicer. Patronising, but less aggressive.

When any part of the concept of hell or Christianity starts making sense to me, maybe il give it some thought.
But if all you have is the tired old lines ive heard a million times devoid of any rationale, then i'll pass.

Not so much anti-Christian, but anti religious judgement and condemnation.
It was waaaay back on page 8 that Enayze commented about how we have to answer for our actions in the afterlife. Something you added to by saying "He's in for a surprise" in regards to a non-believer.
So obviously people are going to argue against that.

If a thread asks about belief in an afterlife, than naturally religious arguments will follow.

        .

I don't need forgiveness from anything because I don't believe in an invisible man in the sky who is watching over me giving me a guilt trip. I am accountable to my fellow man, who I treat with respect, love and with the same compassion I want to be treated with.

No you cant go on, because you used every single one of those quotes out of context, and were completely ignorant to what type of people and to what type of judgment Jesus was referring to.
Yup, only you know the true meaning of Christ and what's in the Bible. That's why there's over 30,000 sects of Christianity all believing in different things. Everything is always taken out of context...LOL

If I threatened any unsaved person with hell, just remember Jesus and the prophets threatened them first. And you are not excluded from that list.
Threaten all you want, because I'm not scared of threats about imaginary threats. What's next, you going to tell me that the boogie monster is coming to get me?

There is little to no confusion in the Christian community about what the place and meaning of hell is. However, it is unsurprising for people to deceive themselves on the meaning of hell, because who really wants to answer for their sins?
Wrong again, you seem to be very unaware of the different sects of Christianity and what they believe. There are fundamental arguments within Christianity about hell, forgiveness, what the path to salvation is, and even if the Bible is to be taken literally or not. I mean the biggest split was between Protestantism and Catholicism. Of course you have all the right answers and everyone else is wrong though......

You answered the first part of the question but conveniently and completely avoided the second part, so I will ask again for the third time.

What exactly in your life were you taught about what it was that Jesus' came to do, and WHY He came to do it?
I answered you 10 times already...LOL he came to save us from our sins by being sacrificed. Funny thing is, he is God, came to die for us, to protect us from himself...lol

The whole story makes no sense and is ridiculous and so obviously made up by ancient people. Also, we don't know that Jesus even was real, I personally believe he was, but there's great doubt and you should read a SECULAR historical account of whether Jesus was even a real man. You do know Josephus works were proven to be a forgery, the only supposed contemporary account of Jesus himself.

And please give me some examples of these different ways that the bible lists to salvation?

Most fundamentalists believe that Christ is the only way to salvation. Other Christian sects believe that good deeds are the key.

Other's quote God's "grace" as the path to salvation. Some believe that even if you don't believe in Christ but are a good person, let's say a good ****** or Buddhist, you will get in.

There's many different points of view, all based on scripture. It's a debate that's been going on for a long time and a very long conversation.

Look you have been indoctrinated and will refuse to see anything other than what you been taught but it's not cool when you condemn people to some eternal torture. Even though that place is not real, your intent is there and that's not being a good person.

You relished in threatening me and Piggy with hell, not only is that not Christ like but it's a pretty ***ed up thing to wish on someone. I was once indoctrinated as well, but thankfully (not thank some imaginary god) I used my brain, and logic that millions of years of human evolution has given me to realize all these religions are nothing more than a tool to control the masses and it works...
