It confuses me as to why some religious people love to celebrate ignorance. Not only celebrate, but exaggerate.

Ignorance and Peace/Acceptance are two different things. Much Wisdom and knowledge can be gained through peace.

Its such a obvious contradiction: Claiming that we only know less than a fraction of all there is to know.

That's just the nature of all things the more answers you get the more questions you will have. The entirety of the known universe, which is gigantically big, only consists of 4 % of known matter. Behind every ocean is another ocean.

You say we know nothing, and that trying to figure things out is a waste of time, yet use quantum science in your argument. Plus, of course, you claim to know God and all his superpowers.

You think you know something? Can you conquer death? Can you explain to me the beginning of existence, how did life evolve from non-matter, what does dark matter consist of?

Ignorance is being held onto like a life float, for its the very thing that leaves room for belief in the supernatural. The ironic thing is, science needs ignorance in order to progress. Thats what science chips away at. But its the naysayers that want to desperately cling onto mystery, magic and miracles, because they want a loving god and eternal life as oppose to the wonders of the universe which they struggle to get any emotional comfort from.
I can understand that.
But i dont want to be fooled by beliefs that comfort me. I gain comfort through the knowldge im part of the universe. And that search for truth and reality that we are part of.

I couldn't be who I am without God.

It is so overwhelmingly exhausting to give so much and get so little in return, but that's just the nature of this world. A world of deception, hatred, sadism, filth, insecurity, sadness, greed, apathy.

It's my faith alone that sustains me, and God's grace which gives me immeasurable strength and endurance. His faith in me, to grant me so much vision and power and opportunity, I choose never to waste. Everything he gives me, I will give back by being a good man, which is infinitely harder than just being what the world made you. That is why God favors good men so highly, for we are passing the tests of this world.

Many people don't have a reason to be good. They don't forgive, they hate on others, they hate on themselves, they hurt others, they hurt themselves, they lie to others, they lie to themselves. I will never be lacking.

When you have accepted God's love, and you walk the path of righteousness, it feels like the entire universe is revealing itself to you, and you are capable of crushing any "impossible" obstacle which might present itself.

So you arent celebrating our ignorance, but just accepting it, and feel at peace? Its difficult to understand what you are trying to say, because you get all philosophical, and it seems like its a convenient way of not being direct. I mean...a girls love...lol. Thats kinda nothing to do with what i said.

The percent of known matter and you claiming that we dont know anything in relation to the big picture is exactly the contradiction i was talking about. You love to claim knowledge of what we dont know. Which is utterly illogical unless you know the amount of knowledge unknown. Its not possible.
Figuring out what the rest of the universe is comprised of may just be one discovery, that could be made at any time.

Sure, there is always more to discover, but that journey should be embraced. You only shout about how little we know. Its a defeatist mentality, which i think is based on your need to believe that God is so great. You feel it necessary to push humanities achievements down. To make us small and weak makes your god larger.
