Argo, Chicago, Shakespeare in Love, 12 Years a Slave, The Artist and The King's Speech were all okay, but definitely not the best in their respective years.

The one movie that comes to mind is Donnie Darko. This movies cult following hypes this movie so bad, but it was terrible imo.

I don't get why it is so acclaimed. I saw it before the hype and and saw it again to see if I missed something.

Don't understand how StarGate wind up being so popular creating a legion of nerds and a TV series.
