I don't get why it is so acclaimed. I saw it before the hype and and saw it again to see if I missed something.

Don't understand how StarGate wind up being so popular creating a legion of nerds and a TV series.

some good films there (special props for the gattaca mention), but blade runner is better than most of them. blade runner is an astounding work of visual art and, despite being a little watered down compared to the source material, it's uncommonly substantive for a sci-fi film. based on your taste i'm surprised you don't like it, tbh.

I generally don't care much for Phillip K ****'s stories, although I enjoyed Minority Report. Steven Spielberg did a better job of turning ****'s original story into a movie than Ridley Scott did with Blade Runner (Scott has directed some great movies though).

Is it just me or is The Shawshank Redemption overrated as hell? Pretty standard film in my book and yet it seems to be lauded by nearly everyone. Maybe not bad but I don't see how it's great either.

Also The Curious Case of Benjamin Button fúcking ******. That and I Heart Huckabees are two of the lamest films I've watched in recent years. Huckabees is literally an abomination. I guess nobody says either of those are "great" films but they do have a lot of fans.

I thought this **** was going to be damn good. The trailer, well in my opinion anyway, made it look pretty damn stout. Then factor in the same director as Prisoners, and Gyllenhal, I mean **** man I thought it was going to be really good.

Turns out it had one of the ******est endings ever laid down on film. I mean wow.

It holds a 76% approval ratings according to Wikipedia. I will give it a watch.

Give it a shot and get back to me after you see it. I'd like to hear your take on it. I actually thought, for the most part, that it was really entertaining...until the ending. I mean it was probably the biggest WTF moment I've ever had watching a movie. Some people thought it was genius though so who knows maybe you'll like it.
