Why do they not get ratings? There are some english players who are brilliant in england but don't get ratings around the world, why is that?

They get plenty. One thing I might say is that English players have been overlooked in the Ballon d'Or (one winner since 1980 - Michael Owen in 2001).

Gerrard, Scholes, Rooney etc get huge international recognition.
