So true. I have to go to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks and I was looking forward to my husband staying home to do my job for three days. He was taking the whole week off.

things happen for a reason who knows maybe you'll become rich and famous now! Sorry to hear everything that happened but good for you though on what you did it takes alot of heart to stand up to that and actually do something about it when so many women do not.

But I am trying to keep a healthy balance now. My daughter said she doesn't want to be around me or in our house right now, which floored me since she was mad at him...but she's got a lot going on, so I'm letting her know I'm here and I'll always be here....and I'll be waiting for her when she's ready.

I expect to get blamed for this at some point. It's normal, but it'll hurt nonetheless.

I'm sure it's a different experience for the kids but when they are old enough even if you think they are now because its a new situation to them and it's uncomfortable.

When the time is right (when they have children/get married themselves) they will realize what you did for them and for you was right and they will know to do the same thing if it were to ever happen to them, so I'm sure no matter what happens they will one day realize it was the right thing to do.

How can anyone say that parenting is a job? It's a obligation of the mother and father to take of her children period. I currently have children and I don't think of it as a job or even treat it that way. My sister is a single mother with 2 children and managed to put herself through college graduating with a degree in Biology and then going on to pharamcy school graduating with a Pharmacy degree. I believe that many women, not all, become full-time mothers because they don't want to work thus subjecting themselves to the dependency on the father.
