[REAL TALK] What were you doing 23 years ago on the morning of 9/11?

I remember waking up to a phone call from my college friend and business partner: "Turn on the TV right now!”

I sat and watched in horror when the second plane hit. Then I drove to a clinic. I had an appointment to do a fertility test, I had just had my vasectomy.

The clinic was small and didn’t even have a TV in the waiting room. One of the employees had brought in a little portable TV and set it up on the reception desk. Everyone, staff and patients both, were gathered around watching.

It made it really hard to give them a sample.

I was in 4th grade, had no idea what was going on that morning until our social studies teacher put on the tv. Crazy how fast time flies

On the job watching things go down on TV. Went from bugging that a dude flew a plane into the tower to realizing America was being attacked in multiple fronts.

About a mile from my house, about 15 miles from NYC, hundreds of people were up on Eagle Rock Mountain watching the towers burn and fall.

I literally saw people covered in soot making their way home later that day.

Driving in to the office listening to the radio.
About a block away, the first news bulletin interrupted the music.
Minutes later, up on the 8th floor, we could see the column of black smoke from the Pentagon.
We watched on TV in horror as the burning towers collapsed on themselves, knowing that thousands were
suffering horrible deaths.

Was working downtown that day and my brother was coming from Jersey to NY for a job interview. As I was going to the Path station after I got off the train all hell broke loose. It was a clear beautiful day and not a cloud in the sky that day.

Had a hangover and woke up at like 1pm on a Tuesday.

I was shocked when I turned my radio on, then I turned on my TV and every channel was reporting it.
