This thread is about Caitlin Clark. What we are seeing her achieve is because of all-time great talent, she is special. It’s not because she is pretty or tall or white.

Especially since she is not even that pretty, nor even that tall. She is only 6 ft. Cameron Brink is taller and prettier and white but she still isn’t close to Caitlin’s level

To imply that white privilege is the driving factor in her stardom is insulting and quite frankly shouldn’t even be entertained. It comes from the same petty, small minded mentality that can’t handle taking a loss in an honest election.

We know what the thread is about. I have acknowledged everything you about her talent here multiple times. You are now being asked about her being used to market and promote the league.

You just can’t answer the question because deep down you know there is privilege involved in this and now that you are a member of the fringe right you do not want to admit it.

No one implied that. Why you continue to blatantly lie about that is sad to see. Admitting it doesn’t take away from her talent in any way.

As other women heavily used by the league to market have pointed out, race and ***uality is a factor in why she is being used.

You keep talking about college. This is the WNBA. For this league, at this point in history, her demographics factor heavily given the league has had a difficult time attracting much of her core fanbase.

She is not setting records yet. She isn’t the best player in this league. She isn’t one of the top 10-15. She is the most popular female athlete in America.

Interesting last point you made. As of your post, you are on the side of the fence with the small minded mentality that couldn’t handle taking a loss in an honest election.

Just like you couldn’t admit the election was fair, you can’t admit privilege plays a role in the league marketing and promoting her.

She’s not setting records yet? You’re just flat out wrong Dunn. She set three different WNBA records just this week.

Sports Illustrated even said that Caitlin is much closer to being in the discussion for MVP than Angel Reese is to being in any serious discussion about best rookie. Why wouldn’t the WNBA market and promote such a talented and record breaking player? It would be asinine not to.

There were ballot and voting irregularities last election. How honest was it really? And all but 5 Dems in the House refused to support a bill that would require people to show proof of US citizenship before they are allowed to vote in a US election. With all the illegal immigrants that the current president has let into the country it seems obvious that side is trying not to have honest elections again. Still, despite all this corruption and incompetence the other side has never resorted to shooting at him.

WNBA Touts Transformational Investment, With Laurene Powell Jobs, Condoleezza Rice And Nike Among New League Owners (forbes.com)

"WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert said in a phone interview"

“And our merchandise strategy—obviously, we’ve had no capital to evolve a merchandising strategy.”

The WNBA Commissioner Engelbert- the head of the WNBA. Stated in the article above in FEB 2022- the WNBA had no "CAPITAL".

For your slowness, this means no money. Read between the lines.

So what you mean is that you couldn't find one single source that agreed with you that the WNBA was on its last leg, right? Because it would be a dumb thing to say coming off their most successful season, dumbass

As i already mentioned, some NBA teams don't turn a profit. That does not mean they are on their last leg.

If the WNBA was on it's last leg in 2023, then why did THE WOMAN YOU ARE QUOTING say in 2022 that they would be increasing the number of games for the 2023 season and expanding the number of teams in the 2025 season, dumbo

The WNBA Commissioner Engelbert -- JULY 2022
“We’re seeing tremendous interest in the game, evidenced by viewership, and everything from draft on to today,” Engelbert said. “Our response to that also is to continue to try to grow, and we want to grow our footprint.

“Beginning next season, we’re going to play 40 games.

“We’re working hard on data analysis,” Engelbert said. “We have about 100 cities through a lens of psychographics, demographics, arena, fandom, current WNBA fandom, merch sales, viewership.

“I’m hoping that it’ll be a couple teams by no later than ‘25, but I’d love it in ‘24, but probably looking out to that kind of timeline, and again, lots of cities interested.

Does "on it's last leg" sound like expanding teams in the 2025 season, dumbass?

You failed, but if you ever find that credible source that agrees with you, do let me know.

Larry Bird didn’t say a damn thing about Caitlin Clark being where she is because of white privilege. But that’s your style, you like to go into a thread and blur the lines of argument then claim you exposed people. Fvcking clown.

You’re done? Ok, good. Go kick rocks then.

Maybe we can return the thread to being more about celebrating the things Caitlin is accomplishing, which you tried to derail as soon as you came in here bitching and complaining “what about Angel Reese?”
He did say something about CC. You're just too dumb to understand it

I think you're the nitwit since you brought up Larry Bird and found out that he agrees with EXACTLY what I said.

"Well, I think so," said Bird. "I think it's good for a fan base because, as we all know, the majority of the fans are white America. And if you just had a couple of white guys in there, you might get them a little excited."

So um, specifically what kind of player is needed to bring in more fans according to old Larry??? What do you think he is saying about a White player's marketability, dumbass If you keep playing dumb, no one will believe you're playing anymore .

Just a reminder that you're an idiot. Carry on

I thought you were done here? Why are you back?

Caitlin Clark has earned her stardom through her talent and accomplishments, which are exceptional. What is earned doesn’t depend on privilege.

Three different White basketball players explained this to you, including the great Larry Bird. I came back to make sure you know how dumb you are, as I stated.

How come Cameron Brink isn’t as big of a star as Caitlin Clark? She’s prettier, taller, and also white.

Tell me, old wise one, how would you compare whether their race played into their marketability if they are both White, dumbass?

Jesus christ. You really can't be this dumb.
