They brought in 200 million in revenue last year, which was a huge increase over the previous year. Attendance numbers had peaked. Viewership as well. And the women who were there at the time playing are responsible for that. In my opinion, it is disrespectful to dismiss what they did to grow the league, but we can agree to disagree.
Yawn.... again Trav. I don't really care about the details. But it's apparent you took the media bait.

The fact is NO ONE was talking about them, sure if you follow them or maybe there were articles - I never noticed them and I scan a few different sport sites on different days.

I am glad you and the other lesbians are making a profit with the WNBA before and with Clark joining, no doubt.

What media bait did I take? You claimed you were doing research and when I present you with some facts now you don't care.

It's simply not true that no one was talking about them. You are speaking for yourself. You just came in here spitting lies for some reason. Not sure why you had to go that route. Weren't you also the one asking if Reese just sits under the rim collecting her misses? I wonder why that's what your research showed when it was so easy to verify that's not true.

You shouldn't claim to do research if you are going to do such a poor job of it.

I don't collect any profit from the WNBA nor am I a lesbian, but seems like simple facts hurt your feelings. I wonder why. False claims about Reese, referring to the WNBA minus CC as "the lesbian league," and claiming it was on its last leg to prop up CC even more than she deserves, and your childish insults show that you indeed have some bias at play here. Otherwise, there would be no need for the misrepresentations, blatant lies, and insults.

Not really. What I found is Clark is talented and is breaking college records. She is one the few women basketball players whose stats inter-mingle and even surpass the Men's records. She is receiving attention and endorsements that others are not. It is not about privilege or skin color it is about what she is actually doing. Granted these records were in college but the impact she has made to the popularity of the WNBA. The one's screaming for attention whether it is other players or journalists, it is disrespectful to Clark for the exposure she is giving to everyone as a whole but she gets chit for it.

The thing is other white, straight WNBA players have discussed how race and ***uality plays a role in them them being marketed and promoted over better players that are not either. It’s not a new discussion.

Clark has earned all of her accomplishments, no doubt. She absolutely should be pushed because of her popularity and the positive attention she brings.

I don’t think she is anywhere near as good a player as Aja Wilson or Breanna Stewart right now. It’s a fair argument they should also be pushed as well because they are the best in their league.

I think eyebrows would be raised the same way if say Zion was pushed more than Jokic.

Another player whose stats inter-mingle and even surpass men's records is Angle Reese. Broke then Men's NCAA record for double doubles in a season as well, but all she got was a claim that she pads her stats from you

CC has earned a lot of recognition due to her hard work and skill, but if you think her race has nothing to do with it, you are being dishonest.

I'll ask you the same thing I asked ShoulderRoll since he ducked it. And this is probably more up your alley since you say you don't watch or care about Women's basketball anyway.

When Eminem said, "If I were Black, I would have sold half," what do you think about that? Do you think that's an honest assessment or nah?

Crying? I think I'm just pointing out your obvious bias and lies. Right?

I brought up Angel Reese as part of my conversation with ShoulderRoll specifically -- a simple inquiry based upon his past behavior around this topic. You then butted in and asked about her, giving blatant lies about her. Seems like now you are hurt and trying to haul around insults because you got exposed

I understand that argument too Dunn. The one about family values. Clark does represent the majority of America when it comes to her morals and values. Does a lot of the new WNBA fans fit this demographic. Most definitely, it does. It's not racist to follow someone who is raised or share the same values.

This is more than likely why the WNBA never got any love before. Being lesbian is mainly tolerated, but inside most do not accept.

Oh? What are her morals and values that represent the majority of America that are different from the morals and values of other WNBA players?
