    My Sleep Is Beyond Fu#ked Up At This Point

    I straight up skip sleep stages. I just jump right into REM sleep and I’m still conscious during it. Like, my body is trying so hard to make up for what it missed. I’m a little concerned.

            No the problem is I’m a fu#king mental case. I legitimately wanna voluntarily check myself into a psych ward. The only problem with that, once you do that, you actually give up a fair share of your rights.

            Can’t own a gun.

            Can’t get certain jobs. Background checks.

              Lucid dreaming is cool. I can usually control my dreams.

              Have you tried melatonin ? Try to cut back on caffeine too.

                Is the lack of sleep making you mental is the mental making you not sleep? Are you able to distinguish? It can be a bit of a chicken and egg situation. You been getting any auditory hallucinations - like voices or the suggestion of whispering right on the edge of hearing, anything like that? You spend energy dreading the long hours clock-watching or you able to occupy yourself reading or whatever and relax into it?.

                You try anything like meditation? Yoga? You physically active? You could try breathing techniques - I can hook you up with some folk who do online breathwork if you want... there's a bunch of stuff you could try if you're interested. Most of it takes a little commitment though and that can be hard if you're so effed up from insomnia you're struggling with your day to day.

                    Cutting back on caffeine is definitely good especially as you start to age and particualrly after lunchtime. Alcohol seriously fucks with your sleep pattern and quality too, Some people definitely find melatonin useful although I never noticed much myself. Turning off screens and shit a while before bedtime is good too though.
