The "rioters" should have stayed their ass home as well. It was a curfew in place. That's the whole point of a curfew, dumbo.

The idiotic argument that you are making is that because "rioters" were there, a 17 year old necessarily had to be there. That's just downright ******.

A black man gets a Verdict of not guilty the same day as Kyle for killing two off duty police officers. Not one word about it in the media. CNN MSNBC doesn't say chit about it.

Things that make ya go hmmm.

What is this obsession about pointing out that Kyle crossed state lines. As if going to a bordering state 15-20 minutes from you is akin to traveling to some foreign country. His father lives in Kenosha, and he worked as a lifeguard in Kenosha, and has friends in Kenosha. Kenosha is like 20 min from his mothers home. It's like living on the line of NY and NJ, and making a big deal that someone "crossed state lines" to do something. This is one of the dumber talking points that people bring up in this case like its supposed to mean something Kyle traveled from one area of the USA to another area of the USA that was 15-20 min away from his mothers home. Most people have longer commutes to work than that.

And at a cursory glance... when we look at conflicts generated by state legislative laws one finds that alcohol and weapons laws are pretty much the only conflicting laws that can land one in serious legal trouble. So, as you indicate, the whole issue is disingenious. I say this because we all break laws regarding state lines everyday... Does anyone really check when you cross into California and the state official asks if you have produce in the vehicle? Common sense tells one there is parity... except when it comes to alcohol and guns.

You will get arrested if you try to drink a double shot in Utah. And leaving your glock on the dash is fine and dandy in Nevada, no license needed, but cross over to Kali and man oh man!

So as usual you hit the spot... It is a red herring.

Fun times... reminds me of the fourth in New York... we would all get metal pipes and bottle rockets and shoot at each other... a Roman candle was like a fireball cannon! set up Geneva type rules of engagement... when someone is hit he/she can be retrieved, patched up on the sidelines... morphine, bone saws... the works.

That was not the main gist. If that bothers you so much, remove the 3 words “in another state”. It changes nothing. We do not need random citizens arming themselves and heading out to confront evil doers.

For this kid the state line was arbitrary. It makes sense... If I have a friend the next town over, the fact that that town may be in another state is irrelevent. Actually I saw this with the Canadian border. Some of the smaller towns NorthEast and towards the lakes go shopping in Montreal and Toronto, the dollar goes farther. BUT even in this situation there is some awareness you are crossing... Not so with states.

Well at least they can put limbs back together. I was shocked as hell to see that Grosskrueutz guy with a functioning right arm!
