and if it did break out there would be only one winner. can you imagine the left wing in a conflict? these people cry about gender assumptions and 'the patriarchy', in fact all they ever do is cry and play victim about how hard life is. a lot of them have never worked, never had any sort of discipline and have to retreat to their 'safe space' when they hear something they dont like. they would be useless in an armed conflict, absolutely useless.Fists_of_Fury likes this.

The answer is, maybe. We all saw (although a lot of people downplay) the riots of 2020 where breakdowns of civil society were on display. I fear an event like another Dillion Roof could setoff a wave of racial riots and violence that makes 2020 look like a day at beach. We're really that close to the brink.
Why are we this close? I think that the media, politicians and 'the elite' perpetuate this false narrative of systemic racism, white supremacy/priveledge and racial oppression that is simply not true. I think most Americans want to live in peace with thy neighbor, regardless of their race, skin color, religion, national origin, etc. But there is a large segment of the population that wants racial animosity and wants to find racism where it doesn't exist.
Another component of this discord is disparate outcomes amongst different racial groups. Blacks and latinos are incarcerated at a higher rate with respect to their representation in the population. Progressives and the ********ic party will cite "systemic racism" as the cause of this disparity when the real reason is...blacks commit more crime than other groups, that's why they're incarcerated at a higher rate. Instead of actually focusing on the causes of crime, progressives just want to blame the system. Basically this doesn't achieve anything except to rile people up.
For me, I would like to see all groups in this country doing well. When everyone's doing well, you have strong social cohesion and you have a strong country. We should be discussing the facts openly and honestly, no matter how uncomfortable, so that we can solve these problems. You can't solve a problem if you refuse to discuss it honestly. Blaming system racism and white supremacy for every societal ill is just inaccurate and doesn't accomplish anything.

Probably already looks that way to people from other countries(Hell even inside here).
I think we need to seriously look at separation. You have a bunch of people who don't like each other. Why have them governed under the Federal rules is beyond me. That's a problem waiting to explode if I've ever seen one.

Originally posted by Derranged View PostGood morning, turds. I haven't posted much this year and I can't even remember the last time I started a new thread. As usual, I hope you're all doing well yet rotting at the same time.
Moving along... I strongly believe that a Civil war will break out in the next couple of years if political division continues to follow the current trend. If Americans do not find a way to get along with/tolerate one another, it will only be a matter of time before things get really ugly. Not gonna bother pointing out who I think is to blame as that will only undermine the purpose of this thread. I'm genuinely concerned about the future of this country and if we are gonna resolve things, it will take effort from both sides. For those wondering what my political stance is- I'm a left-leaning moderate registered as an independent.
Do you think we're heading for a Civil War? Is there a way to avoid it? And if not, will it be a cold war or hot war? Please discuss.Zaroku likes this.

Let's get this chit started.
Something is seriously wrong with you.
