21st in PASSING yds, 22nd in COMPs, 15th in COMP % (not much separating him from 7-14), 4th in RTG, 6th QBR, 1st (3 wat tie) TD's

So far, I'm not seeing an elite QB.
What upper echelon QB is he better than ?

He should be 4-0 if not for the defensive failures. Your also not counting the running plays.

IMO, part of this is the rules are designed to protect pocket passers disproportionately.

I think he is behind Mahomes, Rodgers and Brady no doubt. But he’s right there with Allen.

It's still early. No QB is setting the scene on fire.
But for all the hype, Lamar is pretty underwhelming.

Lamar has benefited from the D (no h0m0) more often than not.

He is a former mvp now lets not forget. Again he isnt the best QB but the rules do make a difference.

Imagine if the rules were the same as they were from Super Bowl 1- Super Bowl 48.

All the non mobile QB’s would be out of the league. Imagine Brady having to run away from LT or Reggie White etc etc.
