Sometimes you just grow out of it. The older you get the less it's about the hood and making a name for yourself. Besides.......... the point of rapping or slanging dope is to make money to get out the hood. But some people get stuck in that mind set and never quit while they are ahead. He was getting paid and now he likes money........... so why mess that up.

He doesn't deny having been a blood from treetop bloods. He ain't hood stuck like others... and his flow is more radio freindly because he makes his own beats.

MC Eiht is just a better rapper than he is with more credibility period. Why do you think he's done so many collaberations with the top West Coast rappers like ****e 1, South Central Cartel, 2Pac, Mack 10, Daz, and Ice Cube?
Them cats from CMW didn't go on to do anything meaningful and they were just bitter at Eiht for going on to get that scrilla scratch.

I'm not saying that Quick isn't a good rapper and a good producer, I like a lot of his music myself. But I think as far as keeping it hood, you've gotta go with Eiht where lyrics are concerned.

if a person has money and still living in the hood - they should be considered ******ed! i just shake my head when i see these young wannabe g's thinking that ****ing and slanging is a cool lifestyle. **** is rediculous!

and those kids who have fairly rich parents but insist on trying to live a "gangsta" life style ought to be taken to a real hood and shot. also, just a side not, i cant stand it when a kid thinks they are high class cause their parents have money. and then say they are rich - they aint fu@king rich! their parents are. a show called nyc prep will make u sick to your stomach, so avoid at all costs.

anyways, mc eight a good lyricist? seriously? imo, which is the right opinion, he has better tracks than rhymes.
