Financial fair play has actually had an adverse effect too. Chelsea have decided to trade players to circumvent FFP. So we have a shed load of players aged 20-23 who have been bought with intention of playing if they turn out to be brilliant but more than likely to be sold. The fact of the matter is Kevin De Bruyne was not good enough for Chelsea and he is a very good young player.

What chance then for the players of a dominant Chelsea youth team? None.
