Benching was the best thing for him. Another example of Wenger's genius. Drops his first choice keeper and captain for a trip to the home of the European Champions. Wins 2-0 and has them frightened for their lives, time wasting.

It was the kick up the arse he needed and he produced some incredible saves in the run-in after Fabianski got injured. He needs competition, that's all.
