Its annoying to see when there are clubs in the Championship who would pack out their stadium week in week out.
Sorry Money May. This makes us enemies
Did you know that 25 years ago before United started winning everything they used to average about 25000 a game? 90% of the time people follow successful teams. The rest support their local team.
The reason the DW is never full is because the town is tiny. The entire town of Wigan has a population of 80,000. That means one in every 4 people would have to...
1) Be a Wigan Fan
2) Be interested in football
3) Be able to go the game (Not have work or other plans)
4) Be able to afford tickets. (Yes its cheap but that still doesnt mean EVERYBODY can afford to go)
Now also take into account that many people in Wigan are United/City fans due to both teams being only 20 minutes away. And also add the fact that Wigan arent exactly the most successful team it more than explains why the place isnt packed every week.
But it still makes me laugh when people say the likes of Leeds etc deserve to be in the Premiership and Wigan should not. What a load of bull****. The game of football is about the teams, not the fans. I dont care if a championship side get 100,000 to every home game. Unless they win (like Wigan obviously have) then they shouldnt be there.

However i always thought one of the best things about the premiership compared to other European leagues is that right from top to bottom we pack out our stadiums. No matter if its the two bottom clubs, two mid table teams with nothing to play for, or teams going for the title we pack it out because we ****ing love football lol. In that respect little old Wigan and their Rugby league loving town let the team down. Middlesbrough used to too, and i felt the same way about them so its not double standards

Manchester has a population of 500,000, let's say support between City and United was split 50/50 and everyone liked football then 1 in 5 have to go to the games for us to fill the ground.
When we averaged 30,000 a week in the 3rd tier in 1999 the population of Manchester was less than 400,000, so that's about 1 in 5/6 people going watching 3rd division football every week (this is at the same time as United winning the treble). So it's not really an excuse that applies.
I'm not saying you don't deserve to be in the prem because as you pointed out, whoever gets the results deserve to be there. But that doesn't stop people wanting Wigan to not be there, because I think people feel like other clubs in the lower leagues have fanbases that will appreciate it a lot more. I agree with them in the case of clubs like Leeds, Notts Forrest, Derby, the Sheffield clubs etc.
City should be given the tickets that Wigan obviously can't sell for Wembley, cos there's gonna be a lot of empty seats in the Wigan end and it will just look **** for everyone. All that's happening at the moment is hundreds/thousands of City fans are just buying tickets in the Wigan end.

I recommend everyone follows this twitter account if you haven't already done so. Absolutely hilarious.

Torres has been so bad this season.. but he has scored 21 goals with 3 or 4 games left.. could quite easily get 25 goals..
Why does he catch so much ****??
Horrible game god knows what rafael was doing.
United don't seem to care much anymoreLast edited by BEDROOM BULLY; 05-05-2013, 11:51 AM.

Torres only gets shyt from haterous pundits who aren't english, plastics, or the few who hated him before he even got in a blue kit. Like sparked, he never wanted torres in the first place. So I don't hold the torres hate against him.
Majority seems like they are in support of torres. If the majority hated him, the bridge would let him know. Even sturridge got booed on the pitch, during games.
I'm happy with the victory. Looks like the squad is finally gelling under benitez. Too bad that chemistry will be torn down in the summer. Once again.

I still don't think Benitez has done a good job. It took him three months to figure out that Chelsea are more likely to win if we play all our best players.
Mourinho could win the league with this Chelsea team, I'm convinced. Ferguson is worth 15 points a season, so is Mourinho. Chelsea will be hitting mid-80's in the league and that might be good enough.
